I would have preferred if they continued the previous show. |
I thought the Spider-Man cartoon as a whole sucked. I watched both as a kid, but neither of them were very good in the slightest...
Hell, I'm willing to let them get away with turning Carnage from a murderer into Dormammu's little bitch who likes to steal life force from people because I knew they'd never let a mass murderer into a Saturday morning cartoon, but even then, both cartoons were poorly animated and played things way too safe. When I had X-Men, Superman, Batman, and The Tick to compare it to, the only superhero shows Spider-Man could out do were the Avengers and the Fantastic Four... |
At least we got Spectacular Spider-Man, one animated series that truly does Spider-Man justice.

I think it's just me but do the new Turtles seem...totally unlikable? the 2012 cartoon has a amazing supporting cast and a fleshed out Foot clan that can do both humor and horror. Splinter and April are well written too but as we all know it's the Turtles' show. But man alive Raph's the only one with his head on straight with Leo being a whiner that worships a psycho version of Kirk, Mike being as childish as SpongeBob and driving April away with an insensitive remark about her mutated father and Don, although caring is WAY too into April for his own good. Plus although I'm happy to have Rob back overall I miss the 2003 versions and wish that was continued instead. |

I'm probably the only person but, I'm starting to get kinda annoyed by hearing people praise Spectacular Spiderman all the time…
and before anyone asks, yes I did see the show. It was okay, but I never really liked the art style. I think I'm more so annoyed by the fans though, cause it's always the same story everywhere I go. |

Honestly, I think Spider-Man Unlimited is a bit underrated. It's not my favorite Spider-Man cartoon, (I'm mainstream and chose The Spectacular Spider-Man for that position,) but it had a lot of neat ideas and storylines that I really wanted to see completed. Spectacular ended far too early, too, but it ended on a slightly more conclusive note, with only one major plot thread left dangling.
All of this talk about Spider-Man cartoons is inspiring me to create Spider-Man: Resolutions—a comic-book limited series/vignette film that resolves all of these pesky unresolved Spider-Man stories. |

I also heard that Laird and the creator of Usagi Yojimbo had a real nasty fall out so there'll be no more crossovers between the two franchises. I just knew that when Viacom brought out the Turtles they would die out while SpongeBob gets to live on. It's depressing that something I grew up loving is now being dictated by snot nosed brats who don't care for action and the creators that allow this to happen. I just want the Turtles to be heroes again. I lost both the heroes of DC and Marvel to the evils of synergy and fickle mindedness. I can't lose TMNT too. :cry I want my Turtles back. |
Have I ever mentioned that I dislike, and on somedays hate, Spongebob Squarepants? Because I do. Sadly, as long as people continue to watch it, it's not going to end.

I have high hopes for Steven Universe and Adventure Time might see a sixth if S5 goes well enough. We really need to make sure kids like more than an overrated dimbulb so we can get good cartoons again. |

Longevity grows stale and tasteless unless you can really shake it up. It's why Dr. Who, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai/Power Rangers work so well even after all these years because of a constantly changing status quo through Regenerations and the slightly confusing "Each Rider/Ranger/Sentai season is a new continuity except when it's not" thing. Without enough change, you begin to just become annoying. Spongebob used to be funny. Then the movie happened... The Simpsons used to be funny. Then Family Guy happened... |

I just noticed that Ben 10 Omniverse has more holes than swiss cheese.
And i'm probably the only person on the planet who likes the style change. |

Spongebob was good. But it fell into the same trap that alot of shows like it fall into. They stopped focusing on writing and just started being zanny and weird for the sake of being zanny and weird.
Family Guy fell into the same pit. The first couple seasons were good. But then Seth started using the show as his personal soapbox, started doing a cut-away gag every minute and a half, and just got more and more out there. The best episodes they've done were the hour long murder mystery with Tom Tucker and James Woods, and Blue Harvest. Darkside and whatever the last one was called weren't very good. Simpsons.. that I stopped watching a long time ago. I really don't watch any Fox animation anymore. Ben 10 Omniverse is just horrible. The animation is godaweful and the stories are meh. They could've kept doing Ultimate. |
