Which is also a bit of a problem. I know the Knights aren't an established concept for Adventure, but the Alphamon we know went so far as to kill himself (Despite being the strongest one around and it's greatest guardian) just to protect it from Dexmon.
He was willing to actually have words before powering through for his quest just because he's seen the fruits of mindless destruction in the name of "For the Digital World." So to have Alphamon bamf in and just try to kill someone with no reason and no care for what could be in the way is just jarring and, for someone who enjoyed X-Evolution, a little insulting. While I don't doubt there is an ulterior motive, I'm still not happy with how he's being portrayed as a walking tank, silently obsessed with one objective. |
The complete silence from him is ass, I agree with that. It only needed a few cryptic lines and some emotion to make him more interesting. But I see nothing wrong with him otherwise, I think the constant comparison to X-Evolutions or concepts of Royal Knights shouldn’t be applied to this Digimon.

It's just one of those things I can't let go of, is all. I think Alphamon has been portrayed negatively once before, so it's just hard for me to picture him as the villain.

I don't mind Alphamon being a bad guy, but I hope we know more about him soon. Yeah he may be a good guy in other Digimon series, but not all Digimon are the same. Last time I check that Gallantmon and Omnimon from Severs are not the same ones from O1 and Tamers. I remember that there is always more then one of the same Digimon out there.

I like the animation a lot in Tri. It looked good and I didn't mind the new art direction. Tri is trying to be a bit more serious then the past Digimon series, so it works for me. If Tri had been a weekly series then I would imagine the animation would have looked a lot worst.

I'm not really a big fan of Plesiomon, to be honest. Dunno why, I just never really grew a liking to it, so I'm fine with Vikemon.

OMG Vikemon! That's awesome, because that also means that Joe is most likely getting some more development and he'll overcome his current state, and once he does Gomamon can Warp Digivolve.
I really hope there's a sequence for that, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon had none so far. Rosemon is cool too I guess, but Mimi is just Mimi, she isn’t really interesting as a character. |
It's rather funny, since Mimi is probably my favorite character in Tri, despite my complete distaste of her in every other series she's appeared in :lol
She brings life to Tri, which it lacks when she (Or a Digimon) isn't on screen |

I watched a bit off Tri. I wasn't overly impressed with what I saw of it. I understand 02's behind the scenes drama was terrible but taking out the 02 newblood like that was sort of a dick move on the film makers' part.
I highly doubt I'll be watching any more of this. It doesn't seem like it was worth the wait. |

Is she supposed to be a Champion level Digimon? Kind of like a Gatomon thing. Her appearance in the opening seems to imply as much. It could just be coincidental because she had to be put in the present day line to make sense. Meh. Probably doesn't matter anyway. |
