This in a nutshell. Had he not instructed people to do it on his behalf things would be a little different. But he quite openly told people the cheat around the system, then when the "punishments" came down and Bandai erased the "cheat" votes, his totals were either only marginally affected or in several cases actually increased.

Not only that, but for all of the "I READ EVERY POST" statuses we get, he really doesn't regulate his page. I've personally witnessed that anyone who doesn't share the same mindset as the majority within his fanbase is ostracized and verbally harassed.

It's borderline blind loyalty with them.

They whined when they were losing, and then once the Tommy Rangers were winning, they became rather ugly and boorish. And yet they claim that we're being hateful.

Is it bad that I still like JDF? I mean, I haven't voted in this contest (mostly because I'm not really into these types of things), and I haven't been really paying attention to the comments made by the fans on his Facebook page about this situation. In fact, I'm mostly confused by how people are taking this so seriously (even JDF, which isn't making him look good right now). Really, I'm more enthralled by the fact that Austin St. John is starting to make more convention appearances now. That, and I have friends who had met JDF before, and they say that he's a perfectly cool guy.

Though I'm not surprised that this sort of thing had happened, really.

oh boy, I haven't checked this in a couple of days and looks like all hell has broken loose. I only voted in the first round of this thing to get a contest entry and I pretty much wrote this off. First because it didn't have ever ranger and second because it did t make you create an account to vote I knew it would become a spamfest. I didn't want a bunch of Tommy keys that we were likely to be getting anyway but didn't expect much else.

Anyway, someone can correct me I am wrong here since I didn't read it all. The way I see it they would have had to go in and delete multiple votes from the same IP addresses within short periods of time. That would make the most sense and be the easiest for way to do it. It would mean that any excess votes would be deleted and then it would seem that the big jump came from people voting against Tommy rangers. Is that wrong? Is everyone suggesting they just fixed the vote by removing a random number of votes to make certain people win? Someone clue me in here because otherwise I don't see the rage. The whole thing was pretty messed up to start.

Wow, I'm just learning about all of this and it's saddening. The original cast of MMPR have been through so much already, that to add this to it is and for JDF to act this way is insulting to his former cast members, fans, and all of the members of the MMPR family. While my love for this property is mainly for Super Sentai at this point, my childhood was dominated by MMPR and it is what fuels my passion today. Oh well, this is why they say you should never meet your idols after all. You have to keep the people separate from the "characters" they are.

unless he's in some legal trouble, im not going to use a contest to hate an actor, that's just who he is, he wants to win and what's his fans to vote for him and he gets upset over it, who doesnt? i mean we all human arent we? i mean if we acted like that which im sure we all do, you really think people are going to hate them for it?

no, they might be annoyed but there's no reason to hate and start burning torches against him. you really think other actors are not like that? im sure they are, they just dont show it.

i just think fans have a problem accepting jdf of what is because of his personality and that's a little extreme because im sure actors and adults act like this and they are not perfect, they shouldnt be hated not unless they did something really extreme like beyond legal trouble.

But for something like this i think the fans have to learn to loosen up and have some love for your fans despite what annoying thing they do because that's who they are.

We don't have to stand by and let this happen, though, this pretty much seals my decision on whether or not I like JDF. The answer is I don't.

But anyway, the White Dino Ranger is currently at 38 percent. If we can get him up by at least 13 before midnight pacific time, then the Green Ranger will be out and it'll be down to Trent vs White Ranger Tommy.

Well, firstly this is not the only time JDF has shown how dislikable he is. He parades his ego constantly and he has never have a problem with publicly putting down his fellow actors (ESPECIALLY ASJ; I fully believe JDF is a big factor in why he hasn't been around for so long, just hat ASJ isn't at JDF's level of un-classiness and wouldn't publicly say that).

Then, he didn't just ask people to cheat (which in itself is horribly unprofessional), he threw a big public tantrum, insulting and demeaning those who didn't vote for him, BRIBED people into voting for him and THEN posted a "How To Cheat" guide on his Facebook.

It doesn't help the fact that he's constantly accompanied by a horde of ignorant worshippers on pretty much every social website, either.

I... Have not seen him insult or demean anyone at all. The only thing I've seen was the bribery, which is really bad, yes. I still see a great deal of stuff about him being pretty cool with his fans, if only because he constantly talks to them on his media stuff. I mean, I've tried to look for the bad stuff on his Facebook page like people said, but I haven't found any. I just found pictures of him and his fans.

But yea, he does have an ego, I can agree with that. And that it's sometimes pretty bad. And the fans can get really bad as well. And he is overreacting to something that was suppose to be a fan thing. I mean, there was admitted ballot stuffing on both sides, but it was just him that got mad about it.

I just feel like we should bank it more to "we're all taking this way too seriously" than "blame JDF for everything".

You're missing the point though, this isn't some fandom shitbag, he's an actual past season actor who is an avatar of the franchise and he's acting like an absolute dick. That is why people are being harder on him, then idk 'MMPRIZDAHBEZT69x'.

There were other insults tossed around. But honestly this type of discussion needs to go away guys. Despite people's frustrations with the competition and with JDF, frustrations I personally hold as well, we all need to move on. It's time to call the bashing (on both sides) done.

Yeah...It saddens me that Tommy might still win over Trent and Trey, but at least Phantom and Titanium seem to be holding up strong, and while she is an MMPR Ranger, Trini/Aisha is winning as well, and that's another Girl ranger up for round Four.

And hopefully, BoA will recognize how much the fans fought for Zeo Gold and DT White and give them keys. But I'm still not giving up until round three is officially over.

So considering how the battles are going I hope this will be the final set of keys.

On a somewhat related note, I've been watching the last of MMPR Season One, and I just reached the Slippery Shark episode.

As painfully optimistic as I am, I fear that Trent may not catch up to Tommy by midnight. But you know I'm gonna do if he loses? I'm not gonna get mad, I'm not gonna lash out at JDF, and I'm not gonna make a huge scene of it.

I'm gonna take this all as a victory for Trent, Jason/Trey and Andros. Because if it weren't for BoA and JDF's meddling, they would have won fair and square.

In fact, could someone who's interested make a sig featuring those three with the phrase"The People's heroes" under it? I'd personally appreciate something like that to show my respect for the rangers who should have won.

I'm saddened that Zeo Gold is the lowest vote receiver in all of Round 3. Even Mercury Ranger has more votes than him.
