I think we will have a SP02 either in september or november as there are no release planned for those months. I wonder if they will release ryu voyager, kuma/koguma voyager and gigant phoenix together (it would make a 10 box set like SP01 or may be splitted as two sets one in september the second in november ?).
Like last year, the last mecha (orion mecha ?) may be a premium bandai only set around december.
That way we could have a release each mon until the end of the year !

Funnily enough I started building my GGG set 2 yesterday too, can't finish it yet though as I need to spray the gold parts first. Built Goldymarg's body though and was really impressed by it - far more than I have been anything else in the Super Mini-pla line.

Annoyingly managed to snap the red arm piece for the helmet on Stealth Gao though, just because it was such a nightmare to force into place.

So apparently one of the upcoming Super Mini-pla releases is not Zambo Ace, but rather Zambot 3. It will be made up of 4 pieces:
1. A transforming Zanbird, that is parts-formed to become Zambo Ace.
2. A non-transforming Zanbird.
3. A Zanbull
4. And a Zanbase.
The Zambo Ace, Zanbull, and Zanbase combine to create Zambot 3.

After buying the SMP of GGG, I think I'm passing on future figures in this line. He's okay but I'd rather save my $40 to apply toward future SoC purchases, especially now that they're getting around to reissuing some of the ones I've been wanting like Baikanfu.

Got some news.

August 15th is the release date for Series 05. Here's the only picture I've got of it.

As some people guessed, it's the Cerberus from the movie. Can't say what else it comes with, but I'd imagine it won't be anything else new.

This probably means that the last Series 06 will probably be the Orion Battler.

Along with that, Super Mini-pla Zambot 3 is now available on AmiAmi. The preorder closed fast, as usual, but it should open again eventually.

Even if it seems to be this way as preorder for serie 5 was up a long time ago.
I would like to think that if they have released a complete set for each series so far they would do the same even for the summer movie robot. But they may expect a lower sale for this set (perhaps the movie related minipla sell a bit less), so they didn't bother to release as a stand-alone.
We will know at the beginning of the month when the bandai site is updated.

I think I might skip series 5 of the Kyuranger minipla. I don't really want to rebuild all of them again just for the Cerberus. Haha. I'll probably wait and see if it shows up on Mandarake instead.

I'm going to stick with series 5 because I'm not too bright, and in the vain hope there's more there than Cerberus and unchanged repacks.

Yes, it was already said in previous blog update.
Pre order for king brachion should come in september or october (12000 yen, will only be available on bandai premium site) and it should be delivered in january or february.
No other date than 2018 for liveman robo, but I really hope that it will be in the first half of 2018.

Does it work weel, it seems that deJapan doesn't ask any fee when orrdering through bandai premium site, but I found that strange (why would a company do something freely, it seems that that they make money when you send things back to your country).
This is because I am considering buying king brachyon (but with the high prices, the shipping and custom, I am still thinking !)

Painting miniplas seems to give a great result. I am not sure to be skilled enough to do as well. What do you use (paint, brush), is there any tutorial on how to do this ?
Could a gundam marker do a good job ?

The strange at the moment is that amimi hasn't opened any preorder for it. (Found this just now, so it may be a very new information we will see in the next days)
Digitamin has a preorder for minipla Set 6 (the 6 pack set) but not for the corresponding 12 pack box (thay have it for set 4 for example). So I wonder if it only an error ?

I recieved the Gigant Ho-oh Minipla set this weekend, and it's pretty cool- but unfortunately when you combine it with Kyurenoh, the elbow articulation is extremely stunted- because the Kyutamas plugged into the forearms don't allow them to bend much.

SO, I reconfigured mine- added some parts, subtracted some parts, and made this.

I can agree with those people who've said it's top-heavy (it looks top heavy, but if you use future floor polish to strengthen the joints: Not an issue anymore)- but I fixed that- so it works fine. ^_^

Any clue if a glister injection Ryutei'oh will be in the works as well? I ordered the glister version of Kyuren'oh and I'd like to keep it somewhat consistent with other mechs.
Also, do orders from Hobbysearch always take that long to arrive on its destination? I've ordered the minipla kit and got my shippment notice a month ago, yet I've got no trace of the parcel at all.

I think that we will have a glister injection version of all mechas, even if for now nothing as been announced so far (expect a release in september or december as the other months already have something expected). Why would they release a Kyutama series SP01 if they didn't expect to do a SP02 ??? Only really bad selling could abort this... I wonder if someone has info on this ?

Kyutama Set 7 preorder has been opened on amiami. Release date is for november, no individual set...

I don't know what to expect, but I have pre ordered it ^^;

Hm, makes sense now that you mention it. Besides, multiple stores put some text in the description that said that these boxes contain randomly selected sets. Does that also apply to miniplas or is this just something written on any gashapon multi-box description?

They all do that. As far as I can tell everybody gets the same set. At least, that's from what I've seen over the past couple years. I don't know why they do that, but it's probably some legal reason. No matter what, you'll always get at least one of everything you need, so no worries.

For Kyutama Set 05, there are 4 Kerberos voyager and only one of the others voyager... I would rather like to have 2 of each...

They are pretty cool. Wasn't a huge fan of the brick-like DX ones so I never got them and I haven't watched the show either. Picked up this set when it was on sale at Hobbysearch and I'm glad I did. Combined pictures coming soon. Haha.

I just disassembled and packed up my clear ... whatever the final combo was called for Zyuohger. I've forgotten its long name. And by disassembled, I mean it mostly just fell apart on its own. I've found that the peg holes on the clear plastic stretch out in time, if not form stress cracks. My Cube Tiger especially has cracks all over it.

I did just finish assembling the Super Mini-Pla Dragon Caesar. He looks really good. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised about all the partforming, though. That seems to be standard with Super Mini-Pla in order to improve the visuals. I almost want to get another Daizyujin just so I can leave Dragon Caesar combined with Triceratops, Sabretooth Tiger, and Mastodon.

It seems that SP02 will come in november too according to this
site pre order.
The full set contains 10 box, so we can expect 3 for Dragon Voyager, 1 for Bear voyager, and 6 for gigant houou.
If it is true preorder on amiami should be up soon...
