If I recall, Ryu is only more popular due to brand awareness. There are others who are more popular as a whole (I think Guile tends to rank higher in polls, along with a few others, like the unexpectedly popular Karin in Japan).

So I've been messing with Mewtwo some more and I found out that Mewtwo is actually really good on Gaur Plains, at least in the 3ds version. A lot of jumping space, very open so his spike can happen, being able to pahse through the platforms for smash and air attacks on multiple levels.

I seem to notice that whenever Kyogre shows up it only seems to go after me. Not sure if it's my imagination but it sure is kind of ironic. :lol

For realz though aside from character bias I'd rather have Chunners than Ryu cause I'd like to see how she'd play in Smash.

Mewtwo is so much fun.
My only real issue is that, online, you can't use Confusion as a reactionary tool, but more as a prediction to what you think your opponent will do.

Yeah about half of Mewtwo's moves don't seem as effective online.

Brinstar Depths.

It rotated around, it had Kraid in it, plus it was sorta creepy and awesome.

It so needs its due since Mewtwo and Lucas are coming back.

Also N64 Peach's Castle. It was the stage I had the most fun on during my SSB64 days and I'd like to see it come back. I know Project M is doing it but to be honest I want SSB4 play style over having to relearn Melee's little quirks again. Plus now that we're getting N64 games for the Wii U VC the moment's perfect for this stage now that we can download SM64.

I have a feeling Wii U is going to get a majority of the stage dlc.

Well if the leak is to be believed, we have two dlc stages lined up for Smash 3DS, a Kirby stage and a Street fighter stage.

It would be nice if they give us outfits as DLC for other characters. Classic Sonic can be alt for Sonic and Young Link can be alt for Toon Link.

Honestly, a lot of the stages never really appealed to me. Some were either too gimmick laden for me to tolerate or were just too dull for me to care.

Kirby is cool so getting a new stage for the Kirby series is always good in my book.

I guess hoping it to be a new Pokemon stage would've been pressing my luck, what with the addition of a Pokemon as DLC :lol

I feel like it was wasted potential not to have a stage called "Pokemon Colosseum".

Doesn't the Elite 4 stage in the Wii U SSB4 kind of fit as sort of Pokémon Stadium 3.0? While we revisit water and fire we also got metal and dragon, so it's 50/50.

And hey; if this leak is true you'll have a Street Fighter stage for the 3DS version and I'll have a new Kirby one to smash on. It could be win-win for the both of us!

Yeah it would be cool. Something like Demise as an alt skin for Ganondorf or Skyward sword Zelda as a Zelda alt would be cool. But for toon link specifically, making a young link alt for him would mean having weird hit boxes for that character, since Toon link's are very different from what would be a smaller Link.

I would love the escape from the city stage from SA2 for a Sonic Stage. The song is so catchy and is one of my favorite levels from all Sonic games.

Only if the G.U.N. Truck is on a bottom street level and is a stage hazard that shows up every once in awhile.
