So Matrix introduced me to the IDW My Little Pony comics and seriously, they're awesome. They capture all the fun and characterization of the show and skew a little higher on the age rating to give us something a bit more to our tastes.

King J-Der could be Rarity as J-Ark and Spike as Soldat-J. GaoGaiGar could be Fluttershy with some animals. Big Volfogg could be Trixie, Snips, and Snails.
And Vinyl Scratch could be Mic Sounders. Maybe Gilda as Goldymarg?

That leaves Twilight conspicuously absent, though.

I didn't ask for Mic because I figured Vinyl would be a shoo-in for that :lol

Well, Goldmarg has a stubborn personality, which is kinda like being a total ass, I.E. what Gilda is.
There's also extreme irony in those two working together.

They were the sole antagonists in Hurricane Fluttershy.

Um... Not really. I can tell that that's what they were supposed to be, but seeing as how the main conflict in the episode was one that Fluttershy mainly put upon herself I can't really say that Cloudchaser and Flitter were the antagonists. They were just kind of... there.

They triggered Fluttershy's PTSD from childhood. And yes, teasing transferring over into a PTSD-like state is possible. I know someone who can get defensive if the word "crazy" is used and she is in earshot.

And as Pinkie said: NOPONY MAKES FLUTTERSHY CRY.

I'm guessing because they made Fluttershy cry. But really, in that case, Gilda should be the worst character in pony history.

I would agree if not for the fact that her fears were only exacerbated when they laughed. The show made it very clear that they were the only two present who weren't giving her unwavering support.

Yeah, but they caused her freak out. She was (mostly) fine up until they stared laughing at her.

Dang...if you got that agro over that scene...what in the world is Sentai going to do when he sees that? O_O

I think I ranted about this in TFW's Pony thread enough, so I'm gonna spare you my ravings.

But it expands beyond just making her cry.

Pretty weak antagonists if you ask me... Kind of makes me ask why they were even created because really anyone could've laughed at Fluttershy to make her go nuts.

Well, he didn't react about what happened to her in Gilda's episode, so who knows.

Ok...let me break it down for you guys.

In Matrix's mind:

Flitter and Cloudchaser = The entirety of Decade.

Was it a recent rant? I missed it the first time.

But it was them. So they receive my hate. It could have been Thunderlane. It could have been Rumble. It could have been Spike. But it was, ultimately, them.

They're not the villains of the episode, that episode is about conquering self doubt, not defeating the bad guy.
But someone had to be delegated to bringing up the repressed issue Fluttershy had, and they were chosen. So when presented with a ring of ponies smiling and supporting Fluttershy, those two were the ones to laugh at her solely for not being a strong flier.

And I hate characters like that.

No, no.
Decade is still worse.
Because 32 episodes of MLP isn't about those two being asshats to everyone around them and then still getting to be the hero in the end like Decade.

It's the difference between being a total jerk (Like Gilda or Trixie) and being a monster.

Pushing someone over and calling them a loser is just being an asshole.
Bringing up past insecurities (Even if unintentionally) by exacerbating a particular weakness just to build yourself up/break someone down is just being a terrible, terrible being.

I was about to say. His problem also seems to be with the fandom in this case. He really hates that people love them just because of their designs (I love Cloudchaser's hair) and ignore their characters. His rant said something about him hating it when people like characters with the reason of "style over substance" I used to love Cloudchaser, but ever since Matrix pointed out the fact that they're bullies...eh...
