The starters are apparently based on a Circus Theme just like how Kalos' were based on RPG classes.

In X/Y, my team was 2 Kalos Pokemon, and 4 returning Pokemon (In my defense, they gave me 3 of the returning Pokemon, though), so I want to try my hardest to have a team of pure Alola Pokemon.

As an aside, I hope this game doesn't hand out too many Pokemon. Kalos throwing a Kanto Starter and Lucario at you was a bit much...

I think it might have to do with some areas in Europe breaking the street date with Pokemon games.

I like the idea of the moon legendary but something about it is mildly off-putting. Sun lion is slightly overdesigned but I think I like it more.
