So I got my first figuart over the weekend, and then proceeded to break it immediately after opening it

You should be able to glue it back in place if it was simply a glue breakage.

So glad you get to experience the wonder that is Abyss. He's a awesome figure, and understand fully the fun of his various arm parts. Mine before I put him away had the card reader arm on, but had to have a hand to use one of his sweet swords. |
Metro, AVOID the Figmas! I know Ryan on here had some bad experience with Cap's hands being too lose, and Iron Man is just...lack luster...Thor I think was the only decent one, but with a Figuart on the way, easy pass...Plus Figmas just cost more!

Finally! The agito rework we have been demanding for!
|
Called it.
|
Agito and Luke are amazing.
That Agito looks like one of the best Figuarts ever in that pic. I hope the actual product looks that good. |
Kinda surprised Heart is getting an SHF. I thought at most he gets an SHF Zero.
Hell we didn't even get Gaim bad guys yet |
Agito is an absolute must-have for me.
|
We're getting a replica Tridoron cockpit, but still no word on when Tridoron proper is coming? Damn it! One of the first announced Drive figuarts and we still don't have it. Makes me super sad. Also still terrified about what the price is going to be.
Figuarts Heart coming is great news as the Drive villains are probably some of the best Kamen Rider designs we've had in quite some time. Dead Heat being a regular release is quite the surprise. I don't want it, but excited to see Bandai put out the sub-forms mostly through regular channels. |
I'm pretty sure that's the release date for the whole Trideron, given that it costs over 20,000 yen.
|
That's how I took it as well, given the pricetag.
I'm pretty sure I'm getting Tridoron, even though I have nowhere to put the bikes, let alone a whole damn car. |
Dead Heat's suit was pretty meh on the show, but the SHF makes it looks amazing (like pretty much everything except Wizard imo) . . . though i still think i'll skip it.
The Trideron has light-up front and rear lights, and a detachable cockpit. Very cool. They need a TWE exclusive PIT diorama to scale! |
Agito, hell yeah! Must have, he looks great with Kuuga!
Trideron's definitely way out of my league, pass. Luke looks awesome, and it seems he comes with an unmasked head for Vader too, very good! And... WTF? Heart?! Man I'm going to skip most things Drive, but this one I might get. |
I really love that Agito, I need to get the new Kuuga and Agito together, they were my first figuarts. Type Dead-Heat looks great, I can't wait for Mach Dead-Heat which should be soon. They must really love Drive with the addition of Heart; which was a surprise I might get him I like his character. I also will probably get the Thor figuart too I love Thor.
|
Give me that Agitoooooo.
|
Well, Agito looks nice, but I'm not that interested.
Luke, on the other hand... |
If they're moving on to Roimude's now I have to think the odds aren't very good of us ever seeing Overlord Baron. :(
In fact, since these listings go through September and there's not a single Gaim Rider listed... kinda getting the impression that nothing more is coming from that series. |

And hopefully a Shin Zangetsu rerelease because the aftermarket is ludicrous. |

Oh never mind Heart is a Web-Exclusive, Pass.
|
Yes! An X/Cruiser two-pack. I'm doing my happy dance! I'm also rather glad I didn't go all in on Showa riders before they started the Rider/Bike sets.

So, any indication whether or not Type Deadheat will have the spare belt, head and wristband to make Deadheat Mach?
Also, since when are they making Avengers and Star Wars SHFs and how likely is it that there will be an Ewan MacGregor Obi-Wan and/or Black Widow and/or Hawkeye? |

But I agree, the lack of Gaim Kaijin is lame. Demushu & Redyue would be awesome. We really need Overlord Baron, I hope he comes around in September/October. Quote:

They seem to focus on the classic trilogy for now and I'm fine with that. |

It's about time that we a renewal of Agito. Shining Agito is one of my favorite figuarts, I'm so happy for this news.
|
I think we can reasonably expect the remaining Gaim releases to be relatively spread-out. They've shown they're not allergic to releasing Rider figures years after a the show has finished, as demonstrated by the Zeronos Vega Form solicitations.
As always, I expect sales to determine just how far they'll take it; I expect Ryugen Yomi and Marika to be significant factors. Sadly, I suspect whoever posted that a re-release of Shin Zangetsu is unlikely is right. If aftermarket prices were a factor at all, I'd expect them to re-release Kamen Rider Gai. Bandai blundered when they made Shin Zangetsu a web exclusive, but I don't expect them to address it. |
So I was totally wrong about that Tridoron listing being for a cockpit replica. Nice! Confirming my hopes that the headlights we've been seeing in promo shots are going to be actual working lights. Also confirming my worst fears of it being a Websop exclusive. Sad that Tridoron isn't a big enough deal for Bandai to do a full release.
That price, though. Ow. About $200 at the current exchange rate. Not sure I can stomach that, but then I'd be displaying Mach and Machine Chaser with their bikes and Drive wouldn't have his ride. We'll see. I think I'll probably still bite, but going to be a tough call. |
I have exactly zero problem with Tridoron being a web exclusive. It'll be a heck of a lot easier to get that way. Securing pre-orders for the bikes from Drive have been particularly brutal for some reason.
This is actual footage of bike pre-orders opening up at AmiAmi*: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qf1Uew_HVs [* - Not really] |
Tridoron is probably a web exclusive given how big the car is. I don't remember Tamashii ever releasing something that huge at retail in the past. The bigger the toy, the bigger the price. I don't think most buyers would pay 24840 Yen at local retail stores in Japan.
|
The Itasha Robo was both that price (more in fact) and a retail release.
|
I totally forgot about that. I don't follow Akibranger, so I have no idea how well it sold at the time.
|
Itasha was going to be my example as well. Because it was a robot they were able to release it under their SOC line, so they still haven't released something that expensive under the SHF line at retail as far as I know.
Really, the only reason I'm upset about it be Web Shop is that means no discounts. For such an expensive item, that kind of sucks. |

Soul of Chogokin figures are (usually) their own thing and strictly numbered as GX-xx. It used to be that you never saw anything but older mecha designs in that line too, but that's long since been thrown out the window with certain recent releases and even wholly made-up concepts like the Disney and Doraemon combiners. |
SOC releases are also not limited to robots. Bandai puts the chogokin label (not SOC) on pretty much anything that has some metal.
