Whole some people are just jumping on the Madoka train since it's release on Netflix, I have been watching My Bride Is A Mermaid on Netflix.

Yup, it's the main gripe I have with the genre, and the main reason the only real toku franchise I've stuck with is Kamen Rider as it's the only one that seems vaguely interested in doing something new.

Checked out the first episode of Build Fighters as I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I don't collect Gunpla, and I didn't really come away from this wanting to collect it but I was impressed that a show about kids playing with models could be so epic and gorgeous with a great soundtrack.

Plus Sei's Mum is just... damn.

But dude...trrrrraaaaaaiiiiinnnnnssssssssss.

I really don't like sentai much. I've tried watching more series, and I have enjoyed some shows but the lack of originality just makes it really dull to me. They have a set of tropes, and use a different combination of them for each season with a slightly different visual aesthetic. Boring!

If you can stomach the extreme violence and gore, Psycho Pass is pretty good.

The reason why everybody likes Madoka so much is because is NOT like other magical girl shows. It's not like Card Captor Sakura where everything is cute for the sake of being cute and teehee girls in frilly dresses because kawaii.

The you should fill in that empty space with Free! then. :p

Or try Akibaranger which makes fun of that.

I can assure you that the annoying personality is done on purpose.
