Sentai has given us articulation before, you know. And you cant tell me with all that room in the arms and legs they couldn't have given us pull out super clicky joints. Or atleast a head that moves.

I'll give you that they at least could have elbows, knees, legs and a turning head. But asking anything beyond that is a bit too much. Sentai has never given us a bot that is better articulated than the average Legion class Transformers figure these days.

And I guess the point is, articulation is icing on the cake. It is not necessary. Even Transformers proved this with Armada, the second best-selling line (or so I heard) in Transformers that is mostly composed of bricks. :lol

It seems like we go through this everytime there's a new Sentai or Rider series.

At least most of us agree that we've had better designed robots. But we only have the few pictures of Tokkuoh to go on until we get more. If we get multi angle shot perhaps we'll get a better as to why this was designed the way it was.

Now I give you some Sentai Mechs couldn't do joints. Kyoryuzin couldn't, neither could Gosei Great, or Gokai-Oh. But this. This thinh, which I've nicknamed Ronald (Thomas the Tank Engine combiners little brother), could've had joints. Atleast a head swivle!

Since Ohranger I think the only instance of elbow joints was in Gaoranger. Engineoh had a bit of elbow and that was due to transformation. Ohranger was nearly 20 years ago. None of them could turn their heads. It's not just Kyoryuzin, Gosei Great or GokaiOh, it's every one of them. :D And you can't say they couldn't do joints when the minipla has done each of those you mentioned except Kyoryuzin. :)

Sentai, clearly Super Sentai is not interested in articulation. :lol

RyuseiOh had elbows, too (Kind of. They didn't bend in the right direction, but they were there :lol)

I'm willing to admit I lost the articulation arguement :lol No excuse why it couldn't have some elbows, but I get it. But give me this. Give me one thing. Those suits are fugly. And I could forgive them, I really could, if those helmets weren't a bucket on your head of wtf.

How is anyone seeing vintage anything with this show? I see cheap looking grunts and multicolored dildos stuck together.

I think he means through the toy's design. The proportions are very reminiscent of the Transformers G1 combiners (Lanky arms, no crotch, disproportional head, boxy torso, etc).
The problem is that the vintage look should be kept to the show, and the toys should represent what we can do today.
