Puns aside (screw you. :lol) how's the Spidey book? It's a crazy idea, but it might very well be crazy enough to work.

It is hilarious. They do a really nice job of characterizing Spidey (although the senior X-Men seem unusually antagonistic towards Pete). It's a book that knows how to have fun, but it also has a fairly engaging storyline, too. I cannot wait for the next issue.

So wait, I thought Peter Parker had become a college professor. Was that retconned out in OMD, too?

No. Peter was a high-school teacher, but he resigned sometime during Civil War (I believe). He then became a photographer for the DB, but quit after a brief stint as a paparazzo. Later on, he got a job at Horizon Labs. Thanks to Ock's shenanigans, he lost that job and became CEO of a start-up cybernetics company.

Anyone who sees him (so Daredevil, who he regularly fights, is safe from this) and is in range of his purple hue (actually I stand corrected, he release pheromones from his skin, but DD has a strong enough will to resist him) falls under his control, and he's used this to date rape, rape, and demean women as well as be a typical villainous asshole. So he's pretty dark.

According to KRX, issue 2 is almost out, so #1 might be released soon over there.

The FF trailer looks like they are trying to do the exact opposite of the first one. The first one was too lighthearted and jokey? Make this one unbelievably dark and serious.

Instead of trying to do a good blend of both and the costumes just look boring.

I dunno, last time I paid attention it was more like a few months.

I don't know. I know we haven't had Spiderverse yet, as I keep looking out for that. It probably is more like a few months...

Man, I wish Marvel would give up and stop trying to make the Inhumans be the next big thing. It's such a waste of everyone involved's time.

It wouldnt be that much of a problem if the Inhuman books werent that boring.

They can't help it; the Inhumans are just boring damn characters. Their leader can't talk, his wife has no personality, and no one can name more than three other Inhumans without a wiki. They will never replace the X-Men, no matter how hard Marvel tries.

...Why are they trying to replace the X-Men?

Film rights. They own the Inhumans, not the X-Men, so they think if they promote them with their comic books, they'll make more money with the film. Plus, they want the X-Men films to fail so they get the right (Eg: Full Profits) back.

I still dont understand that.

Why do people keep thinking that if the Inhumans comis are popular that the X-Men movies will be less popular? This makes no sense.

And even if the Inhumans books were good. They will never be more popular than the X-Men.
