Goku VS Jiren fight was well worth the wait.

I thought it was great too. Probably the best looking episode we had in a while in my opinion.

So we caught up on Super tonight and the greatest moment of the entire series thus far was what Freeza did to Frost. Oh my god that was down right hilarious. Best episode ever!!!!

Of course, I see that we finally learned where the entire show's animation budget went to the two parter with Goku fighting Jiren was by far the most spectacular set of episodes in all of Super. Too bad next week will probably return to subpar animation.

That's about all I have to say other than Jiren is totally his universe's God of Destruction while the clown dude is just a stand in.

Why they don't make a sequel to GT ?

They did with a film called A Hero's Legacy which featured Goku Jr. If you're talking about a sequel series, GT was (to put it nicely) bad. It had good/great ideas that were executed poorly, the constant focus on Kid Goku made it worse, the changes and ignoring of characters was bad, and overall it's a part of the Dragon Ball franchise that a huge majority would like to forget. It may have had some good parts/ideas like SSJ 4 and the idea of Baby and the Evil/Shadow Dragons were good, but there was too many of the bad to ignore.

Considering how negative people's opinions on GT were (and possibly still are), I doubt Toei would've made a sequel to it.

However, if Super is still ongoing by the time it reaches past the last chapter of Z (the 10 years after), I'd like them to possibly re-make GT. Fix the problems or outright change them, but keep some of the 'good' parts. Although, with all the changes that Super has introduced, GT would have to have some big changes made to it.

I'm one of the few people that legit loves GT.

I use to like GT but that was because as a child, I grew up on Z and GT re-runs so I was kinda a part of the "generation" that watched Dragon Ball because of the action/fight scenes. After high school, I started to become more invested with games/anime/manga/etc in regards to story/mythology/lore/etc. rather than solely on action or if it looked cool. After rewatching GT, i realised all the flaws and problems that I missed, and how bad it was compared to the other DB series.

I'm not saying it's the worst thing/anime in existence but compared to its predecessors (including Super since it's set before it), it's not good/great. Like I said before, it had some good ideas/parts that were executed poorly.

Finally saw Goku going ultra instinct and you know what? I like it. It feels like it is not the run of the mill simple power level rising kinda power-up and more of a quasi-autopilot mode that just aims for max efficiency.

Kai to me devinative way to watch Z yes there still filler in it not as much just pan out the chapter in to episode but still it was better. Also freezer arc is longest arc in manga

Will be sad to see it go, but it's been a real fun ride and, well, it does kind of answer the question of "where could they possibly go from here" haha. The whole war with the angels theory is an interesting one to me, but looks like we're really not getting much after the Tournament of Power ends.

Still could return in the future (perhaps after the new movie?), but ~130 episodes is a good run.

I find it strange that Super is ending in March. I would think a show that is doing so well that they would keep it going. I guess they will bring it back after the movie is done.

Well the staff need a break and 130 episodes on a weekly basis is exhausting. Plus the franchise isn't as popular in Japan, Build's gotten better ratings since it shared DBS' timeslot iirc

Dragon Ball has the highest merchandise sales for Bandai next to Gundam though. Maybe after the new movie, we can see Super return. There is too much stuff untouch that Super needs to do next.

Dragon Ball still makes a lot of money from merchandise sales in Japan. Dragon Ball Heroes at the Arcades is a big money maker with kids since it is a card game. At least they said that the franchise is not going anywhere. I can see Super returning after the new movie is over.

Yeah, I think we're underestimating just how much of a huge money maker Dragon Ball is for Bandai in general.

I mean, look at the time gap between when GT came out and Super first started airing: the franchise continued to generate money for Bandai long after GT's run came to an end.

Ok I want to finally get this off my chest. I don't like controls on Fighterz after playing the beta the game not for me. I might just watch the cut scene complication of the story on you tube

From what I've seen, the story in Fighter Z isn't really anything ground breaking for Dragon Ball, but there's a lot of small interactions between characters that are pretty fun

I wasn't really paying attention to this game as it was being hyped up but after seeing some of the cutscenes I think I might pick it up.

At episode 56 of Kai Final Chapters. Super Buu sucks and Gotenks fucking sucks. Fat Buu and Vegito are cool as hell now
