Oh man, I remember when I only picked up my first figuart KR Ryuki because the dragon looked awesome, I now have 37 Figuarts, what the hell happened??

To save a little more money this month after buying a 3DS and planning on buying Bruticus... I think I'm going to cancel my Den-O preorder. :/

Just ordered a Figuarts Stronger and Skull (Original version, not Crystal) off of Mandarake. I was so surprised to see a Skull listed again, even moreso that it was the original release. And both for $60 shipped was not a bad deal at all.

Just got my AkibaRed from AmiAmi. SAL takes so long.

I like him, he has decent ankles, like Climax Form Den-O, I think they are. Not quite as good as the Ryuki ankles, and not die-cast, which hurts his balance. He's not as stable as the Ryuki figures, and that's disappointing. I realized a couple of days ago that one reason I really like the Akibarangers design is that it's not just spandex like other Sentai series.The big ol' chest piece and heavy, strappy boots bulk up the profile in a way I like. I just wish his feet were metal so he wasn't so top heavy (I think the scarf is what's off balancing him).

I also got Raia last week, and don't think I ever talked about him. He's pretty great. Despite not being one of the designs I like all that much, the Ryuki body is quite solid, and excellent to pose. The armor looks good, the whip is jointed in 2 or 3 places, and his helmet tail is also jointed in 2 places, but it's so thin I'm kinda terrified he will fall backwards and break it right off, but then again, the ball joints are shallow, so maybe it will just pop off and get lost, rather than breaking.

But he looks good with the other four Ryuki figures, and I can't wait for Gai to be released so I can hunt him down on Mandarake.

from the pictures, the helmet tail looks like Gills whips which are pretty durrable actually...my Raia should be comming in at the end of the month and I'm pretty stoked.

Who was talking about how addictive the Figuarts are? I was just thinking how I told my wife I would never get into them...then kept seeing the reviews...so then I just got Kick Hopper and Kabuto...now I'm up to 16 with about 9 en route or on pre order...dear god lol

i seriously dont see how you guys can just say "oh i have 9 en route no big deal". i get 2 maybe 3 things toku a month.

A while back I told my wife I wasn't going to get any Figuarts from Fourze anytime soon (I've stuck to that one so far), I told her I wouldn't get any from any shows I haven't seen (stuck to that one so far, but I really want the Agito SHFs, hope i can hold out until I start watching it), and that I wouldn't get any more from Kabuto, but I failed there, getting Hyper Kabuto and Kick Hopper. I shouldn't have passed on the PunchHopper I found last week for 3000 yen, and I'm possibly ordering Hercus later today and Caucusas and Ketaros have moved up on the priority list, even though I'm only 11 episodes in, haven't seen the movie.

Raia's whip feels fine, but the helmet tail is just quite thin and feels very rigid. It could be durable, but I don't know, so it makes me nervous. But he stands pretty well, so I'm not really all that concerned he'll fall over.

Well I look at the pre orders I have and they are stretched to November... plus if you shop the forums you can get some great deals. For example I have a g3-x coming to me shipped for 20 bucks. Just have to shop around. I have been collecting for 12 years and don't spend a third of what I should have lol

I haven't spent a third of what I could have either, but that doesn't say anything about not spending as much as I should have.
I really do have to cut back, and pay off this credit card debt, but it's so hard. I only have 3 things on pre-order right now, but one of them is the MakeToys Green Giant, so that's the same has having 8-ish SHFs on pre-order. Yeah, gotta cut back. :(

the big this is with our lifestyle is to remember our priorities. Believe it or not, I clear all purchases with my wife for example. You need to keep a ground, this is a hobby, a past time...not an addiction though we joke...Don't kill your credit, skip your rent or mortgage and all...

thats y i only get 2-3 things a month, i would love to have some of the awesome things from toku but if i did id be messin around with a hopper zecter on the curb, that and idont have the will power to save up alot -_-

My wife understands that paypal funds are my expendable income. I get that money from buy/sell/trading and so she understands that its money I wouldn't have normally so im free to spend it as I like. I don't dip into actual money in our checking account. I've mapped out my expenditures up through December and only use that money for other impulse purchases if I have enough to do so. Its been a great balance thus far and she is perfectly happy if I need a few bucks from the bank every now and then. But all in all my BST transactions pay for these hobbies for me.

I went from 2 last October to 25 right now. Soon to be 27 when my Mandarake order comes in.

Not as fast a growing collection as others here, but I still didn't expect to be sucked down such a deep hole.

I've successfully limited myself to only figures of shows I've seen. Even further than that, I've now committed myself to only a Rider's final form. (The exception being IXA... because they're totally different characters, I swear :P)

In pursuit of that, I cancelled my Den-O Sword Form pre-order.

That said, I still really really want Zeronos... *siiiigh*

you can cheat and say zeronos doesnt really have a final form cause in all reality he really doesnt :thumb:

ahhh you are at THAT stage of collecting lol...I have been in the "horde" phase, especially when I was big into anime in the late 90s...finally I narrowed it down to transformers the last 9 years...just expanded into figuarts...NOT touching the Roleplay stuff or the Sentai robots. I mean what are those OOOs coins going to do for you next year? lol Then again, I'm 33, chubby and really would look silly shouting Henshin with any of the drivers...(yet that Faiz gear...) mind you I do have the apps on my phone, but I digress...

I stick by have figures of only shows I've seen too. But that sort of backfires when I realize I have seen everything from Kuuga onward (except Hibiki).

The balance of hobby vs real life bills is made easier when the arrangement in the house is that i clean and the wife makes sure the bills are paid. She is a banker so i let her handle the finances. My whole paycheck comes in and she hands me my allowance.

All of my cheaper SHF's have come from that. The more expensive ones like my Imagins or exclusives have been from me selling most of my other collections off.

I also try to stick by rules with my collecting. Try being the key word...

1. Only buy basic forms ( broke that when i bought RaToraTa just because of the tora can on the DX bike , also gonna break that rule when the make Den-O axe , rod and gun forms )

2. Only buy from shows i am watching or have watched ( No clue who Zolda is but he had huge guns , my Ryuki , Knight & Rx are because i watched the U.S. versions , never seen Amazon or Riders 1 & 2 except in movies )

3. No bad guys ( Juzo , Gamel & Uva on the way...)

i am weak willed :(

I have a few simple rules for my importing.

1. Don't buy anything from a show I haven't watched/a game I haven't played.

2. My budget per month is $120, +/- $10.

3. I will only pre-order exclusives if I have the money to pay them off right away*

*Sentai Tamashii is an exclusion to this :D.

All in all, I manage to survive.
