I wish they would just do the Morphin Masters.
|
I wish they would do the rest of Time Force Rangers, Wes is lonely without Je...I mean his teammates...even Eric lolz
|
I imagine the helmet is gonna be either MMPR Red or Green.

Anyone else a bit tired of this line dragging its heels on... literally every team that's not MMPR?
I mean I wanna preface this by saying that I've always liked the anthology approach to waves and I still do; it means that they're never boring, there's something to appeal to a wider variety of people, they can dip into more interesting stuff like monsters, etc. It makes the whole thing more exciting and accessible. But the other extreme of it is, like... it's been 2 years now and we've only gotten two complete teams? One of which is MMPR (of course), and the other of which is an Amazon-exclusive 5-pack, which even then is still missing their Silver. Like... I dunno, it's weird how slow they've been with completing anything -- and you can't even blame covid here, as it's now been 9 waves and we've had a huge amount of releases outside of waves too. There hasn't been a lack of releases at all to do these in. If they had at least prioritised finishing off Ohranger, Dekaranger and Go-Busters since they literally only have a couple members left each, that would be something, but as-is... man, I dunno, I'm a bit disenchanted with this line. I get the feeling that when they do finally get to a team I love more it wouldn't matter because it would take 3 years for half of that team to actually get released. I realise they've gotten better in recent waves but they need to double down on that. |
I mean I agree.
On the realistic side, the MMPR lean is because that series does and always will sell. It's the whole reason the team's essentially been completed twice (The metallic armor releases revealed last time basically confirmed a completed team in one shot). To their credit with Deka and Oh, the former is one member away from full completion meaning Yellow is all but confirmed soon and the former is two members out with Fan Fest also confirming that we could see them done as late as next year since they mentioned Blue's tonfas coming with something released later. That said, I'd love them to also keep building on other teams they've started but all but dropped at this point. Kyoryuger got 3 releases with one being an exclusive shadow-dropped out of nowhere and Go-Busters is literally 2 members away from completion, 1 member if you're sticking with the Figuarts. It's super frustrating with them for me since I /am/ sticking with the Figuarts and want Stag Buster out already so I can complete my favorite team. But with how poorly the first three sold thanks to a combination of packing too many per case and people bad-mouthing Beast Morphers I doubt we'll see them anytime soon...despite them being probably some of the best figures in the line. All the other teams started either have time to get built or also got no love outside of one drop. Ginga's finally getting a second member. Mega's getting its third. Aba's also 2 rangers out from completion. And we only have Time Red...which is disappointing. |
I would like to see a Masked rider figure.
|
I don’t have hope Hasbro will release the whole Dino Fury team, but I’d at least like to see the red ranger
|
Another set of reveals and still nothing about those TMNT sets, this is getting tiring.
|
It is surprising that they haven't at the very least teased LC Dino Fury Red.
|
I bet the earliest we'd see an LC Ryusoul Red is 2023, unless they suddenly get a lot of demand for it
|
Dino Fury Gold hasn’t appeared in the show right ? Maybe they want to include that along with the rest of DF releases
|
I wish they can do lightning collection dino megazords 6 inch figure.

MMPR and Lightning Collection
Each power rangers series has enough content for years worth of releases. But Operation Overdrive will never get the same representation as MMPR. So far all I've really seen that leans to MMPR more then others is them trying to save a buck by rereleasing figures in other channels. The metallic rangers are exclusives to pulse. They are cheap to do a smaller production run for. Folks are always trying to collect a whole MMPR team. MMPR White was probably covid issue which is why it took up a "slot" in addition to being one last go at completing the team. Tenga, Goldar, and Scorpina.....they really don't count to me. We are used to getting nth version of MMPR Red/Green. Not getting these villains or side characters. In the end you look at a chart and MMPR really doesn't have so much focus that I feel the other series don't have rep. I think some people are just noticing that Hasbro isn't introducing new teams because they are completing open ones. Space and Zeo might be completed by the end of this year. DT/BM/SPD right on the cusp. As to why we haven't seen Dinofury LC figures. Look at what happened to Beast Morphers. There are $10 figures right next to the LC line. I wonder if Hasbro though is pushing out a full Dinofury merch drop for later in the year as they were premature with Beast Morphers. Basically patience. |
When you look at the main line, there are 36 figures out of 9 waves thus far. 14 of them have been MMPR. 22 none MMPR. Of the 14, 2 were comic based, 4 were villains (Zedd, Z-Putty, Tenga, Wingless Goldar). So that is only 8 of your usual MMPR, one of which has been just a re-release so it doesn't really count.
That isn't really a lot of MMPR rangers. Sure, they were one of the first teams to get completed, but so what if they were one of the first? We are still on the verge of having multiple teams completed, including two evil ranger teams. I think Hasbro has done a bang up job and has given fans figures we would never have gotten from Bandai. Lord Zedd alone is a masterpiece. Rita is pretty spot on. Goldar is fantastic. Putties, Z-Putties, and Tengas! All this in just 2 years btw. |

A lot but not abnormal for a 3 season show. It's a number that as you got forward doesn't really show a heavy favoritism.
Including exclusives and not just waves SPD with the latest figures clocks in at 11 figures leaving the inevitable yellow at twelve. Space clocking at 12 figures. Silver and Pink remaining. Dino Thunder isn't going to have that same count just because there's only five/six rangers and no evil counterpart team so it's going to have less rep even if they brought in the main baddies. It's just the idea that Hasbro has MMPR blinders with the LC line when I don't think they've proven that. Yes it's gotten a priority but it's not a scraping of the bottom of the barrel. |

There's actually a rumor regarding another upcoming figure for those Retro-Morphin Flip-Heads (which isn't Lightning Collection, but does showcase how heavy those "MMPR Blinders" are)! https://toy-wizards.com/2021/05/20/p...p-head-ninjor/ |
I still think it's hilarious, and a bit sad, how some of our first complete teams are Evil Rangers though. Especially given the small nature of some teams.
That being said that Retro-Morphin Ninjor figure sounds absolutely lit. I always loved Ninjor and his form changing, so getting that figure sized sounds really cool. |
Wave 9 has started showing up in stores. My local Wal-Mart sadly only had Galaxy Blue and Space Black and not the other two, which I want, lol.
|
Omg this weeks reveal was disappointing, three figures shown off, only one is actually a new ranger, and yet again it's part of a two pack. I get what they were going for with the whole pink theme, but come on, two mmpr pink reveals, yay. I even get what they were going for with the Kat two-pack, but again, really? Another mmpr pink? I wouldn't care at all if they were all just single packs, but now if I wanna complete Zeo, then I gotta get the two pack. Honestly wish they would have just bit the bullet and started Turbo with pink in that one.

Both times though they were downgrades -- Red didn't come with his sword, and Gold's, well, gold is muted compared to the 2-pack.
Granted the latter is more excusable and easy to pin on budget, but a later single-pack release isn't always great. I and a lot of other people were considering the single-packed Gingared until we saw he doesn't come with his sword and instantly stopped caring about him |

There really was no excuse for Galaxy Red not having his sword though. |

seen at Wonfest in China. Coming soon???
|
Yooo, very tempted to pick that up!
|
Ecliptor will be cool to have. I just wish hasbro would do the Morphin Masters.
|
Yes, Ecliptor! I'd love to grab one!
|
Oh heck yeah, I still have my old Ecliptor Toy somewhere in my old PR stuff.
This is definitely a must buy. |
Definitely want that Ecliptor. Surprised they're making you double-dip on Astronema already, though. Like she looks different but it's still the same overall figure as the one with In Space Red.
|
I need that Ecliptor something fierce!

They’re really re-releasing her this early, and in another 2-pack???

Ecliptor looks like absolute fire! Astronema is an interesting case. If she came with an alternate headsculpt that had one of her other hairstyles, like her redhead look, then okay. But I can't find one in the box. Unless I just missed it/am blind? ^^;
But man, she like just came out in another 2-Pack. You could've released her on her own as an exclusive elsewhere with a few of her different headsculpts. That'd give the mold more use. But now not only have people double-dipped on In Space Red they've also double-dipped on Astronema as well. This new 2-Pack makes the older one look almost pointless. At this point I'm assuming they're gonna reveal In Space Silver in yet another 2-Pack with yet another Astronema. Most likely based on her look when the 2 went on their "date" in that one episode. Though I can't for the life of me remember what she looked like in it. XD |
I had predicted an Astronema/Ecliptor 2-pack, but they’re not the Cyborg versions I was hoping for.
|
That Ecliptor seems large but he looks really good! Guess I'm going to have 2 Astronemas... not a fan of you doing 2-packs like this, Hasbro.
Actually, that's a different head on her, right? Hopefully it looks more like Astronema than the first one. |
