I would straight up recommend just getting SHF Build. Due to both his original price and his multiple re-issues you can get him for basically the same price as the FRS without too much trouble, and while the height discrepancy would usually be an issue... well, FRS Build is actually slightly shorter than most FRSes and matches SHF height. You are basically just missing out on his weapon but in exchange getting a much more gorgeous figure with a wider ranger of articulation

AFAIK only OOO's chest symbol is pre-painted but I feel like the majority of the lines will be separate, but I'm imagining the black lines on the arms and gloves will need to be stickered/painted. (though of course black lines are the easiest to do with any panel liner.

The only problem is that defeats the purpose of collecting all the model kits. Like I still plan to get W, Kuuga, and Hibiki despite owning the SHF's. It's less to get a figure of Build (which isn't even a design I like a lot though he's pretty cool) and more to have that eventual full lineup of main Riders in a consistent style and scale.

The idea that they may redo him is pretty tantalizing, though. I mean, they did it with Kabuto and Faiz to good effect. You guys have definitely scared me off Build for now (though I do still want Zi-O) I may get Kabuto instead, or one of the three I mentioned above.

Painting up Zi-O wasn't that much trouble, the pink sections are mostly rectangular/large shapes that can be masked off easily.

But there are a lot of blank spots they didn't give you stickers for: the fingers, the neck, even the helmet is incomplete. The stickers for the visors looked terrible so I just oped to paint it in, and finally I had to add the black sections that are around the white clock face.

Yeah, by far the biggest problem I had with Zi-O was his eyes. His belt is also really bad but I can live with that; his eyes though you really wanna do yourself

Zi-O's face stickers are the worst. In 16 Figure-rise kits, those face stickers are the most difficult, frustrating things I've worked on. Tiny stickers that need to go on narrow raised surfaces and in shallow grooves. Stickers that have the adhesive quality of a postage stamp's shadow. Stickers that move if your hand comes within inches of the kit's face.

The worst.

The arms straps and neck really beg for some silver paint.

And if you can get a tiny bit of paint on those Ride Watches, it makes the figure seem super detailed

All that made me so excited except for the P-Bandai part. Granted I don't collect Kyoukai Senki (yet) but to have a brand new series alreayd pulling PB shit after not even a year is depressing.

Hope we get a new Rider reveal. I ordered Zi-O and Kabuto because I want to a) get kits of Riders I don't yet have and b) work my way up to the newer kits. Though honestly it's not like the divide between new and old is that cavernous, I build Faiz before Decade and I honestly found them comparable, but I don't want to one day be building a fully pre-painted parts-separated Wizard Flame Style or Gaim Orange Arms and then go and mask off every silver band on Kabuto's legs and paint on Ex-Aid's stripes. :lol

Kabuto and Faiz are considered way ahead of the other kits released at the time iirc and on par with modern Rider kits

It does really bother and confuse me that they didn't give any times for these streams or anything... usually if you're doing an event you, like, give out the actual time this stuff is happening well in advance. But it's already the day (in Japan) and they still haven't told us if it's in the morning, afternoon, night...

I usually just wait for them to put up images on Bandai's hobby site twitter. Which is probably around during or after SHT.

Wow! Ghost looks awesome! I know its going to be sticker hell and I'm okay with it.

The pattern on his face is a little oh the big side, but its probably not as noticeable on the actual figure.

It doesn't look like stickers on the parka...just the stripes on the arms and legs.

The orange on the parka looks like molded plastic...I've done plenty of the FRS sets to have a good feel like that.

Not gonna lie, I never even realized Ghost had a pattern on his face until this promo shot. But, looked up some close-up shots of the suit and sure enough, it is there. The orange also isn't suit accurate, but that can be fixed with some paint, I think.

I'm seeing little holes and slits in the Transient body. If I'm guessing construction, it's going to be three parts.

Edit: nope, looks more like they're guiding indents for painters/stickers.

So yeah uh I'm kinda blowing up with excitement right now!! This is THE Heisei Rider I was most excited for of the remaining ones and they're getting him out the gate right away -- my OOO/Ghost rewatch seriously continues to have the best timing! At this rate we'll see Blade in a week

He has a detachable Parka Ghost gimmick, perfect hand options AND two Gan Gun Saber modes?? I was hoping for Yurusen but I will fucking take what we got, my god. This is going to be stunning

Was not expecting Ghost but not exactly disappointed. In fact just yesterday I was thinking how/when they?d do him. I may not like the suit but he?ll add some nice design/colour variety.

I will say though the face does seem a bit off. The eyes are slightly too far apart but not bad. Those bone outlines are going to be a pain, though.

The stickers on this one... I feel like they're going to be okay? They all look like flat stickers that fit within molded grooves, and that's pretty doable. Ex-Aid and Genm did that, and while it's a LOT of stickers, they're dead easy to put in and they end up looking great. I think this could be a fairly fun build!

Oooo more ghost content, who's this leave anyway? Blade, Kiva, OOO(?), Wizard, Gaim, and Drive? I'm kind of suprised ghost is happening before gaim or wizard.

yeah, the patterns on the face is too big and the color is not orange enough(?), i will just paint it with a more accurate orange.
about the eyes, they'll probably fix it later, just like what they do with Decade.

I’m pretty excited for Preban potential this time around as they’d obviously decide to make Dark Ghost if anything— and that guy never got a figure outside the gimmick line. So that could be fun!
