This will be helpful. |
So...I finally joined a team on Pokemon Go today.
|
So China made a pokemon go knock off, and it's hilariously bad:

Judging by the name and description, it seems less like a knock off, and more like a "Training mode" for the actual game, using hilariously bad models :lol

That Snorlax is gonna haunt my nightmares for decades to come.

Wow, Nintendo being a bunch of jerks right now...

I don't get why Nintendo goes after fan projects. They are not doing it for money seeing that they are making it for fun.

Also Nintendo's really out in force in protecting its copyrights lately. You really have to wonder why since Pokemon GO's making them so much money; have they fallen into the greed trap Konami did? |
Nintendo didn't make Pokémon Go! They aren't making that much off of it.
And it's all about protecting your IP. Doesn't matter that the people doing it are offering their projects for free, they still aren't licensed to do so. |
Am I the only one who isn't surprised?
It's copyright infringement. Just because they're giving it out for free doesn't change that they're marketing a product with a license they don't own. Nintendo isn't being money grubbing tyrants. Pokemon is their second most valuable IP, and they don't even have full ownership of it. They're not going to be okay with this. You don't release your ambitious fan product 3 months before Nintendo's new, big Pokemon titles and then expect them to be totally okay with it. People need to stop acting like every move a corporation makes is just them being evil and greedy, like this is some kind of movie... |
Don't be surprised when they do it to Insurgence too when it's complete version comes out soon too.
|
This took less time than I thought it would.
https://i.gyazo.com/f20703c623e99560...d93669be0c.png What a wonderful sight. If only the sprites would change color like Arceus does. But whatevs. So close to finishing this silly living dex. I'm feeling like breeding for a few shinies after I'm done. Should be...something. |

Im pretty sure that's some form of heresy. :lol |

Are they all Shiny though? |

Have to agree, good on Nintendo for protecting their IP tbh.
|
I don't really mind Nintendo protecting they're IP like this, it just bugs me that they don't consider endorsing the game and releasing them on the eshop or something. I mean Capcom and Sega do that same thing! It's a weird world when Sega actually does what Nintendon't.
|
...Really?
And they would never do that. I wasn't even aware Sega did something like that; it doesn't make any sense to me from a business standpoint. Not that it's relevant because they're not Nintendo. This was an unlicensed product that they did not make and to then sell it would only weaken their rights to the IP, encouraging others to ignore and break laws with their own projects (potentially for profit because "this other one can"), and there's no benefit to them. This is not difficult to understand. |

Remember when Capcom published a fanmade Mega Man game? That was their only "Celebration" for the Blue Bomber's anniversary. Nothing else. They didn’t care, someone made something good, they took it and advertised themselves as a fanbase loving bunch who love Mega Man. Facepalm. And Sega? Sega needs to allow the few fans they still have to do what they want, and with the most recently announced classic Sonic game they even hired people out of the community because they have no idea how to do shit properly anymore. Pokémon goes way too well in order to even think about endorsing or hell, even publishing rip-offs. Because no matter how extensive the ideas, these fans use trademarked names, concepts and in most cases official assets from the games. How can you expect to publish something like this, free or not, and expect to not get blown up? |

Apparently there's going to be an announcement when Worlds closes off. Ash Greninja's reveal in the games, called Rainbow Greninja

So I've finished with the dex and now I'm breeding a buncha mons. Want some more shinies.
Was running around route 7 looking for a white Flabebe so I could get one in a Luxury Ball, and I ran into something a little more interesting: a shiny yellow Flabebe! Which is pretty awesome. This is actually the only shiny random encounter (without other boosted chances) I've gotten since I got the Shiny Charm all those years ago, and only my second one overall. And my first was a Lunatone so this is a lot better. |

....I still wish Nintendo had bought them and Rare out. |

Also that's Monkezuma from Create-a-Pokemon. http://capx.wikia.com/wiki/Monkezuma On a side note, the recent droves of people who cry over the death of named megafauna infuriate me. |
Quote:
Also, I don't think apes are megafauna. Despite their strength, I think while standing straight, they're still shorter than the average human. While I think they have us beat on general arm length, I don't think it earns them the classification of megafauna. Also, I still want Alolan Dragonite that is basically Dragonair-2, because evolving Dragonair makes me feel like I just committed a sin. Doing it for the stats than the looks? It's like I'm breaking my one rule for Pokemon... |
Quote:
And if you wanted to get technical, even HUMANS are megafauna. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megafauna If it was a Blue Dragonite I'd be happy. |
Quote:
And the biggest problem with this is that some leaks actually talked about a gorilla Pokémon, but I don’t know if it was part the ones which turned out to have some credibility to them. Either way, if it happens these shitheads will think Nintendo cared about them and they will never stop talking about it. |
Quote:
Also, didn't know that. I couldn't settle for a blue Dragonite. I need the thin, slender, sleek snake-like form Dratini and Dragonair have. I like Dragonite, but I just like Dragonair a lot more. |
Don't care I'm on fan that want crystal onix being it alohan form
