Killing Pikachu, giving Raichu some love. Man these games are getting better and better~
Snufful is cute. I like the tag, even if it's in an awkward position :lol Still not feeling the sand castles, and it's ability feels a little on the useless side, but eh, they can't all be winners (I hope it at least gets the appropriate defense boost...) Also drunken shrimp...Kay. |

I'm surprise the new Crab Pokemon is not a Water/Fighting type.

I got the shiny Snivy I'd been aiming for for years now last night. It was a great moment. Of course nowadays I'm happy that I didn't get it back then, since now I had a Contrary parent, and so he's a shiny Contrary Snivy. He's pretty great, and I love him.
...But he does have 0 as his Defense IV. So that's not what I'd call "ideal." A job for Hyper Training if I ever saw it. And at least all his other stats are 31's...But anyway. He's cool. He's a cool guy. |
These new pokemon keep getting better and better
Crabrawler is awesome. |

Going into iron island "I don't think we should be here..."
Leaving iron island with a mostly fully evolved team "Fight me." |
So Baron my Infernape just took a greninja down to one health and one shotted a Scizor... I'm not sure whether or not to be proud or horrified...
|
So it's as badass as Ash's Infernape?

Ash's Infernape wasn't even that good.
Turtwig (Torterra by the end of things) lost almost every non-Team Rocket battle it was in once it evolved into Grotle, Gliscor was rarely used while a Gligar, and Gliscor had only marginally improved, but had a tendency to lose when it mattered (Read: Whenever fighting anyone but Team Rocket), Buizel was a cocky bastard and, in the end, nothing special, really. Gible was a one trick pony. It was a small Pokemon, but it knew Draco Meteor. Otherwise, it bit on things until it was KO'd. Meanwhile, Pikachu was at what I'd call his "Mid tier" in terms of his fluctuating power. Always fast and agile, like usual, but he seemed to drop in power, basically having to rely on Volt Tackle to do any damage. In Sinnoh, the only real powerhouses Ash had were Staraptor and Infernape, and that might only because everyone else on his team were jobbing like crazy. |

The show was also too biased towards Infernape. Need to show the threat level of an enemy? Let's just have Torterra, Pikachu, or Gliscor lose to them so Infernape can win and prove his strength. It was dumb, and gave us a poor scale to measure his power against. |

Moral of the story, don't aspire to be Ash.

in vain when Pokemon first started and was planned what then got made into the now the Pokemon adventure manga. is still stupid reason on keeping ash ten. and going to all the region. I mean they said kids would get confused if they changed the main hero. but I mean this was back when Pokemon started in japan and they had two superhero show that change team every year. ( look at super sentai and Kamen rider) why would Pokemon be any different?

He was as bland and lifeless in that as he is in the games. |

Red has accomplished more than Ash. I'm not trying to deny that. It just doesn't make him an interesting or better character. |
^ What about his characterization in Pokemon Adventures manga if you don't mind me asking?
