You'll see the problems with the episode when you get to it.
There's a much better Spike episode in the season.

Season three has some of the best episodes in the entire series. Allow me to list so of my personal favorites. :D

Too Many Pinkie Pies (4th)
Magic Duel (9th)
Sleepless in Ponyville
Wonderbolts Academy
Keep Calm and Flutter On (ending excluded)
Magical Mystery Cure (Tied for my number one episode)

So yeah, season three has a few duds but... the rest are great. :lol

It's an episode, and it's a pretty good one. It would be great if the ending was a little better.

I loved One Bad Apple, but my personal favorite S3 episode has to be Games Ponies Play. I just had so much fun with that episode. :lol
