I just realized Kabuto's Hyper Form is asymmetrical. The right foot has extra armor plating.

Also wow that is a good catch. Never would've noticed that. |

I always wonder if asymmetrical leg armor makes it harder for the suit actors to move and fight smoothly. I mean, most people can adjust pretty easily to having different amounts of weight on our arms like when we're carrying something, but it seems like different weight on the legs would throw you off.

Probably less of a realization and more an observation, and no guarantees that it's an accurate observation either, but...
I'm under the impression that the Undead in Blade were inspired by Pokemon, if only to a certain point. Undead represent actual animals, like Pokemon. Undead battle each other in a conflict known as "Battle Fight", not unlike a Pokemon Tournament. Undead are sealed away after losing a fight, like Pokemon. Undead is sealed by a card, but doesn't look like an artistic rendering of its true combat form. Instead, it looks like a stylized and semi-kitschy animal reminiscent of an actual Pokemon Card. The Sealing Stone, which seals Undead during a true "Battle Fight", is reminiscent of that annoying "Missing No" (if I remember the name right) from the old Pokemon Game Boy cartridges! |
So I was reading how Ultramen, as the grew older, their lights become stronger and so are their powers. And it makes sense why Taiga was given the Ultra bracelets to help enhance his finishers, because he was still young and not a strong as the veteran Ultras, thus he needed help in order to make his finishers stronger.
Plus it also makes more sense as to why older Ultraman doesn't rely on a stronger form, for an in-universe explanation. |

It's weird how whenever there's Japanese text in Power Rangers generally my eyes are drawn to it, I can't not notice it, similar with Sentai footage. It might just be that watching it as a kid is not the same as as an adult.
