Does anyone know where I can get Demi-Fiend? Most places are selling it for over $100.

He's not actually out yet. Pre-orders are closed for most places too sadly.

Yeah, as DreamSword said, it's not out yet, the price is what it is because figma are just that expensive nowadays. MSRP's above 10k yen are the norm now. And there is no rhyme or reason for it most of the time, the recent Chainsaw Man debacle has made that perfectly obvious.

I have decided that Samus Dread Ver. will be my last figma. The prices are too crazy and I've been getting bad luck with QC too. 2 badly put together accessories in one box are inexcusable.

That all being said, Demi-Fiend was among the first items to undergo the price change, so it is still somewhat reasonable. You can get it from AmiAmi for 68 dollars. You have to pay shipping of course, but it should come out bellow what local retailers charge you.

Next WonHobby has rolled around and - nothing really exciting figma-wise? At least for me. Elden Ring is weirdly absent in their showings lately. Which works for me as I was planning on passing anyway.

But, I know a certain lady around here is waiting for this, so: figma Guyver 2.0! Considering it was labeled as Nr. "600" before, and the most recent figma pre-order is 595, this should pop up for pre-order soon-ish.

Looks petty great IMO, this one actually feels somewhat justified in the modern figma price range. It costs 12800 yen but thankfully all retailers get this and you can save a bit with the pre-order discount.

I think you'll really like her. She's near 1:1 with the ingame model -- they even nailed the different reds on the helmet!. In fact, the only notable difference is the lack of panel lining (I plan to fill that in later) as well as the specific proportion of the rings on the lights, but that's such a minor detail I don't actually care. (The green on the 3d render is just my own interpretation I use in my art, the original texture is pretty much the same green as the figma.) It's my first figma actually, but she articulates very well and the only caveat I had was her alternate Omega Cannon is the tiniest bit too heavy for her to hold her arm straight out -- the shoulder is on a ball joint so just pop that bad boy out, apply a coat of Kiki or whatever water-based polyurethane you prefer and you'll be good to go!

I'm not planning to use the Omega Cannon much so that's okay, but the panel lining - on the body it looks decent without paint IMO, but the hand lacking black segments still irks me. They really should've painted that part.

Funny how this is your first figma, it could be my last. They've become crazy expensive and I don't really see the product quality matching that increase.

But Samus I need, love Metroid Dread, so I'm glad to hear all the good things you have to say about this figure :)

That's very valid! Collecting is an expensive hobby so you gotta know when you're out so I respect it. Metroid is such an important franchise to me that I really couldn't pass this up. I'm taking some paint pens to the hands to fix that up, and I'd like to find a good match for the lights' green to add the missing foot lights.

Got Samus today. Thankfully, she's fantastic. Considering the masterpiece that is Metroid Dread, everything else would've been a disappointment. There are some really awesome things happening on this figure - the shoulder articulation is mindblowing. I love it. The outward movement is astonishingly fluid and easy. And the collapsing back panels of the knees are so cool, they work so well. Ankle tilt is the only thing that is limited, but understandable given the design.

Yeah this one's a winner, and she goes on the shelf right next to her soulmate.

For those who missed it the first time around, the figma Doom Slayer is getting reissued.

I literally just sold mine two days before this was announced. Good timing on my part.

Figma is reissuing their Other M and Zero Suit Samus figures. They're both rather good so I'd suggest picking them up if you missed them the first time around.

I prefer the Prime 3 suit but considering how much that went for the first go-around, I'm expecting a possible reissue to be a pricing nightmare.
