Well. After watching the episode, which I will NOT spoil for people, I have to say I feel much more positive about this series than the last one. There's some good meaningful stuff in this first episode. Can't wait to see the actual finished product!

Grah. I'm going to have to pay three times the cost of this thing to get it from someone who went to Comic-Con. Sorry if this is old news, I just saw it for the first time today.

More 3.5" figures (and another Capaldi!). I'm not really a fan of any of them, but to each their own. Although I am a fan of this:http://merchandise.thedoctorwhosite....hip-and-pilot/ |
Decided that as Pertwee's other adventures probably wouldn't benefit from Bluray I'd collect them all on DVD but I was quickly annoyed at how they've been released, with half of his serials appearing on boxsets with random adventures from other Doctors. Why can't I just get his stuff on its own?

Personally, I'm iffy on the idea. |
And this couldn't have just happened to begin with? Stupid money-grabbing BBC...

Just watched that Preair Screener thing, Clara stepping out of the box with sex hair was my favourite part. Honestly it had loads of great character moments really making me appreciate characters I hadn't before. I can't believe how quickly Coleman is able to snap up wonderful chemistry no matter who she's on screen with. If I was to have any complaints - and spoiling nothing - the use of the villain was a little hokey and hamfisted.
I just wish I could talk about the episode more, but I'd hate to spoil it for anyone. But I'm sure for those who have seen it know what I am speaking of and I'd love to discuss it through PM. Unrelated to the episode, anyone know about the Season Five Bluray? The steelbook has "over nine hours of extra stuff" emblazoned on the front and can't see that anywhere on the regular Bluray, does that mean it is exclusive to the steelbook or is it available on the regular bluray too? |
And this was a good read and it seems that we have are new doctor to thanks for darkish tone of season 8

There's also the fact the blog's headline is "Unlike the other geek news sites we guarantee our news is 100% bullshit." |
... How was it not obvious that it was satirical? Not even the Daily Mail would swear like that?
Although JNT putting Laudanum in Baker's drink does explain a lot |

If you're in the US, it seems Fandango finally started selling tickets for the Deep Breath screening( + prequel + BTS stuff).

Guys, what would you say is the single best Classic story to let someone who's more used to watching New Series Doctors watch? I enjoy the Classic Doctor Who stories, but I don't think the person might be patient enough to sit through 4-6 parters.

This actually looks pretty good. I'd rather have had Victorian Clara, but meh. Edit: And... it's £30 / $42.99. Again, cheaper in the US |

I may pick it up, but I'll wait until I see it in person. |
