MMPR is not a good show at all in general in my opinion. I do think some of the later seasons are better directed and written.

What if Saban make a fanfiction of PR ?

Quote:

Exactly, but made he's own PR for a Fan-Fiction.

Unless he make into a novel.

Could be based on Hexagon.

A fanfiction is something made by someone not associated with the production of the inspiration for said fanfiction. For example: JK Rowling couldn't write a fanfiction for the Harry Potter series. |
Blue Centurion and Phantom Ranger could be considered rangers ?

Should Phantom ranger be called with another name ?

Should the Alien Rangers be called with another name ?
Should the Green Samurai Ranger be called with another name ? What does that question even mean? |
I don't know, this name make a lot people confuse with Power Rangers.

What if they relaunch all the Megazords for the next anniversary season ?

Then Bandai will be blowing a whole lot of money in one go. |

I'm not convinced Sevenlima is a native English speaker, or is very young. His questions and posts come across as really incoherent and difficult to extrapolate.

Not even an insult there, I do legitimately wonder about that sometimes. |

Why ?

And I don't mean they physically can't access them, they can, but they're prohibitively expensive to produce, hence why Bandai makes their own moulds because it's honestly cheaper than producing the Japanese ones. Not to mention the Legacy line, despite how many have issues with it, does sell well enough and they do put effort into those Megazords. (MMPR original notwithstanding, but it also wasn't a Legacy-original design) Basically, they could bring back the old Megazord moulds as part of Legacy and fancy them up, but those old moulds are expensive, don't have the same level of detail, and Bandai of America could just remake them slightly smaller with improved design and sculpts for no extra cost compared to reissuing outdated moulds. It isn't logical, from a financial standpoint, to reissue when remaking is just as effective. Now I don't know how far that extends. Like, for example, would reissuing the Wild Force Megazord be cheaper than remaking it? That's a pretty fancy Megazord that's size-wise more in line with modern releases and not as old as, say, the Astro Megazord. I don't know, but from everything I've read BOA either can't or won't use old BOJ moulds. Not as long as they can make their own. Granted, that's just based on what I know and have heard. But that's why I said unlikely. Never say never and all that, but as of current circumstances no. |
I actually have a question of my own now: In season 3 of MMPR in the two-parter where everyone hates each other, the Rangers actually defeat the monster with just their zords, not the Megazord. Has this ever happened before or since? I don't think I've ever seen any giant monster beaten with just zords.

- Tyrannosaurus destroyed Giant & Shellshock in Season 1. Pineoctopus was changed from Zyu and replaced with Megazord. Tyrannosaurus also wasted Hatchasaurus, but it regenerated afterwards. - Red Dragon finished Pipebrain alone & Lipsyncher with others in Season 2. White Tiger smashed a revived Hatchasaurus & some Wedding guest revivals. - Ninja Megafalconzord punched Marvo, but Red Ape finished the fight. Shogunzords defeated Crabby Cabbie & Sinister Simian & Battle Borgs smashed Slotsky. - Red Battlezord & Pyramidas won battles on their own. Super Zeozords beat some revivals during their debut. - Robo Racer succeeded several times, and Rescuezords won their debut battle without transforming or destroying. - Mega Voyager Zords beat a Monster before combining. - Galactabeasts won & Defender Torozord isn't a technical Megazord. - Max Solarzord was effective, with Supertrain support, during its debut. - Q-Rex won with Ranger support without being in Megazord Mode. - Wildzords were sufficient in their first battle. I won't spoil anything about the finale. - S.P.D. Zords wrecked some Robots. - Mystic Force beat a Monster and formed a Dragon Mode to beat another. - Jungle Fury Beasts joined their beams a time or two. - Samurai won their first without uniting. - Dino Charge destroyed Giant villains without merging. - Ninja Steel changed their first Zord battle from Ninninger so Ranger lasers won. Might have missed a few, sorry if I did. |
For those seeing that nonstop stream any new thoughts on the series after all these years?

What if we have a season called phoenix force ?
|
Am I the only one who noticed how interesting the Camera work in Time Force is? Its like they were aiming for big budget movie but it almost comes off as indie film...strangely I like it

Man, why is Time Force so good overall? |
A combination of a production crew that legitimately enjoyed what they do, if they're are to be believed, and almost a decade of experience.
|
Yeah, Time Force was made by people with experince, talent, and a passion for their careers.
Like anti-Megaforce. |
I wish could have seasons like Time Force.

Uh, let's see, where to start? So first, off, I've mostly been poking in and getting a small sampling of each series, although I missed the boat a bit and started with the Alien Rangers episodes. Having not seen most of this stuff in over a decade it's been absolutely fascinating seeing the evolution of the show from season to season like this. Like, confession time, even though I've always liked PR, I sort of have this secret Sentai purist streak to me of thinking of it as inherently "lesser" or something. I've kind of had my senses slapped back into me by this marathon. Pretty much all of these shows are better than I remember them, in a total reversal of how nostalgia is supposed to work. It's put into perspective just how crappy the newer shows really are. Because, like, we went from MMPR's goofy cheese fest (which I will always love for what it is!) to Zeo, essentially everything MMPR was but better and more refined. Then after that came Turbo, which really does feel like a step down, but finds its voice after the cast change, despite the transition itself being kinda rushed in spots. But then suddenly, *BAM*, here comes In Space to just totally rock everybody's socks off with how awesome it is. I totally forgot how amazing Countdown to Destruction is. It's a super worthy finale, and yet they just kept going and we got Lost Galaxy, which really impressed me on several different levels. I've never been huge into it before but, first off, just from a meta perspective it's incredible how much work went into retooling Gingaman into a fully-fledged space opera, and even more incredible how the show managed to spin all of its production issues into something not just coherent, but actually pretty dang good. Second, Lost Galaxy is actually pretty dang good! I ended up watching more of it than any other series so far, seeing the first five episodes, five from toward the end (around the In Space teamup), and then the last five, and I was impressed by how much I got into it. It felt like a show that wasn't afraid to not patronize the kids watching it, and give them something actually dramatically engaging and even pretty dark when the situation called for it. And then there's Lightspeed Rescue. Still good! One of my personal favorites even, but it's unfortunately sandwiched between two way better series. Which brings me to... Quote:
Time Force just oozes excellence. It comes dangerously close at points to just being a straight up good drama series, let alone being a good PR season. Time Force is actually the only PR show I've ever rewatched in full, which I did on a whim a year or two ago, and I was f***ing floored by how good it actually is. Seeing a random episode in the stream today, it's still great. I long for the day when we get another Power Rangers show that has aspirations and passion behind it the way Time Force had, because, and this is the point I've been trying to get around to for the last 700 paragraphs, Power Rangers stopped evolving. Everything built up to Time Force, basically. The show was just getting better and better, always trying new things, and usually making it work. I think that's the real secret of why the Nick seasons have felt so darn underwhelming. They haven't grown. We're over six years into this and a random episode of Samurai isn't really that much worse than a random episode of Ninja Steel. That's what sucks. Not just that the shows aren't very good, but that it distinctly feels like no one on the production end has any desire to spice things up or take the show someplace interesting. Just a constant, frustrating monotony of acceptably mediocre action shows. And that's lame. *deep breath* Well, that's probably enough ranting for now. I'll probably post somewhere around here again about the stream after the Disney seasons are through. |
Should Shuki Levy work with Saban again ?
