They have already teased on one of the latest update on the staff blog that it would be 2 box for moraimars (they even insisted on the fact that it needs only 2 box to do a complete robot... So bad that they do try this harder on the others robot :p) and 2 box for kyutama skill set. So even if it wasn't told that left 2 box for kojishi voyager. For the 12-box set, I hope that it will be 2 set of each too.

Getting close to done with Orion. Need to do the detail painting. Apart from some hollow bits, and the winglet by the kyutama constantly popping off (even glued!), I like it!

I’ve kinda been slacking on the Kyuranger front of late. Still not picked up Cerberus or Orion. I’ll get around to them. Eventually I guess, luckily they shouldn’t be in short supply for a while.

As seen in this review of the kyutama minipla series 07, Moraimars is quite beautil in front and quite ugly behind...
They have done only a minimal work on this one, arms can move a little, legs not a bit ^^;
They said they did their maximum to minimize the number of boxes, I wish they had done a little more to have something that match at least kyuren Oh global level...

Curious to see if they will do a SP03 with Orion Battler and kojishi voyager...

(At least there is liverobo and live boxer on the way, quite expensive but can't wait to receive this at home !)

Well, that's disappointing. Kojishi looks pretty good but Morairmars is kinda lackluster. I'm sort of glad I cancelled my pre-orders for the case so I'll just see if he pops up on Mandarake instead. Not too bummed if I miss out on this set.

It seems that a box has 4 kojishi voyager , one skill kyutama and one moraimars.

What am i going to do with so many kojishi...

I don't think I will buy this kind of box again (I had the same problem with kerberos voyager)... It may be interesting only to get several set of the main robot as they are usually used as part of the further gattai !

Just one Morimars? That's disappointing. I also would have been fine without the skill Kyutama if it meant better Morimars, but we're not the target market, and Bandai knows what sells.

Trying to find a proper middleman for purchasing Live Boxer. Thought about Nippon-Yasan but after hearing about all the bad experiences others had I'm a bit hesitant to order from them again. Any other middlemen out there that might offer Live Boxer?

Not to take away from anyone’s bad experiences with NY (because they are justified) but you won’t have any real problems regarding getting the item if you do order from them. I’ve been using them for about 3 years as they’re the most affordable middleman service for me and never had a problem.

The problem lies in the fact that they can take forever to ship an order out. It’s got especially bad in the last few months with some items taking up to 2 weeks to go from “in preparation” to “shipped”. That’s unacceptable if you’re paying for something like EMS, but if you don’t mind waiting a little longer you will get the item. Their customer service is pretty shitty if you raise this with them as well.

As I say, not trying to dissuade anyone from not using them because there are some horror stories - I just wanted to give my take on them since I use them so regularly.

First time I ordered from them the SHF Sun Vulcan twin pack was rather satisfactory, since it arrived exactly 2 weeks after shipping notification.
Just wanted to know if there was a safer alternative to NY by any chance.

No difference between a box or an individual set. It can be interesting when you know you will need an additional set to make a robot that combine multiple set. It is not interesting for the latest set or the one containing the movie robot for example)

I did order the glister version but didn't open it yet. From what I read, The gray parts look more "metallic" than the gray part of the normal set. Look for photos you will see the difference. They are a little more expensive too.
There is a glister version of everything except orion battler, moraimars and kojishi voyager so far. There is no individual set for these but all the voyagers are in the box (9 voyagers/10boxes in sp01 and 3 voyagers/ 10 boxes in sp02)

Lupinranger/Patoranger : It seems there are never any information concerning minipla in the scans... I would really loved to have some informations about the first release next year... I think we can expect a release in february and another one in march, but who will be released first ?
I really hope that they will continue to do individual set for each release !

They're just extra kyutama. Personally I'm getting them so I can display both the Kyutamajin and the other combo. If you don't want more kyutama for any reason, then you can skip it.

So, I'm considering getting the Liverobo minipla. How much painting do these things usually require?

None unless you want them to look as spectacular as Sethl's. They're generally molded in the appropriate colors, with some paint for details like faces, and stickers for other, usually-flat details. I've never felt the Super Minipla Daizyujin needed any additional paint.

None really, like Tokumonkey said. The stickers are pretty comprehensive, I just like painting.

The super minipla, I think, are even pre-painted in spots.

Preorder are open on amiami for minipla vs vehicule 1 and 2 (respective release in march and april).
Good thing, they keep the complete set (5 box here) and the usual box (12 boxes).

No real information about the content. As a complete set is 5 box. There should be one box for each vs vehicule and 2 boxes for goodstriker. (and goodstriker will be available in each set as shishivoyager this year)

Unlikely. My experience so far has been that if I wait long enough to see pictures - or even get an accurate description of the contents - pre-orders will have long ago sold out. I've missed out on several waves of candy toys that way. Oddly, though, Bandai's blog at least showed off the YU-DO, but there were zero minipla pictures in that article.

Minipla preorders always reopen on release though, sometimes before then. It's not like DX toys where if you miss them getting listed that's it.

I thought the same thing when I saw the preorder as there is usually "gattai serie" in the name. But if you look in the past and on the minipla, it is always the robot that are on sale (the mini kyutama last year is a first for me, and it was release on the last serie !)
So I did preorder, there is no chance that it is not the robot.

Yeah, that sucks, I thought it would be even like two of each but at least you got 2 moraimars. Though they did end up being a bit disappointing from the videos and reviews I've seen. I might just pre-order them and see what happens. Only thing is that AmiAmi doesn't usually like cancelled orders.

Was looking on Tokucollectibles, and they have preorders up for the first two minipla sets, with breif descriptions for each.
