Probably not. It's already a 3d model, so might be a little too late to change things now. |

I'm pretty okay with the Damashii's inaccuracies. They're not good, of course, but they are minor (I needed them pointed out to me here) and pretty much nothing in the face of the gimmick existing period. I imagine it would have been a bit difficult too figure out how to do the shoulder straps. Though admittedly I'm not sure why they couldn't do the chin horn

Just dawning on me that Ghost got revealed alongside an Arceus kit (which looks pretty great for around 1400 yen!). Bit fun to have the dead guy debut with god!
https://i.imgur.com/q0i76if.png ... and at that the start of the next major upcoming Pok?mon game, damn. Ghost getting some cred! |
aight then
btw, did you noticed FRS Dukemon's cape doesn't looks like plastic, could it be, fabric cape? |

FRS Ryuki Mask Fix
4 Attachment(s)
Pic 1: How Ryuki looks like out of box. You really cant see anything pass his visor which was annoying.
Pic 2: I apply glow tape over the clear eye Pic 3: Now it is visible (GREAT!) Pic 4: After applying some light, it can even glow in the dark! |
Ooooh that's very fun!! Startlingly accurate. What's this 'glow tape' you used?

How long does glow tape even last for?
|
To answer everyone questions:
1. I do not know the brand, I bought it at my local diy store for 2$, I think you can find it quite easily online 2. I think it is better to place it over the eye, this is because it will be easier to expose light onto it and make it glow. If you place it under the eye, you'll need to disassembel the head every time you want to make it glow. 3. The glow last for about 1 minute. You can make it glow again by shining a flash light onto it for a few seconds. |

Makes me wonder if fluorescent/glow paint would also work

Here is the roll. Notice that this is the red option which I think is the redest that it can go in term of glow tape.

A little off-topic, but what do you think? does the batman kit scales well with the ultraman kits? |
Quote:
I actually have that rx 78 entry grade kit, and an ultra figurise. Batman is definitely waaay bigger, normally amplified kits are quite beefy so i honestly dont think so. Plus ultra are already armored, for batman to be bulkier than them when hes a dude in tights, especially those thighs, just doesnt look right scaling wise. |

btw, i didn't expect to see em in figure form this early where's ooo? :eyebrow |
I swear it really looks like they slapped on the Converge head on him, Takeru-dono looks so odd.
|
Hoooly shit okay, I had my doubts from the CGI images but this has washed them all away -- that head is BEAUTIFUL, as is the rest of the figure! Gonna be studying this image for a bit to find the stickers lol but as-is this is a gorgeous kit which I have no complaints with. Stunning
|
I'm cautiously optimistic with that Ghost preview. The early previews are often misleading. The early Double previews showed a beautiful metallic green and pre-painted parts.
The Ghost in this image uses a shiny black plastic that is very uncommon in model kits. But otherwise, it is looking lovely indeed. |
Where are these from, anyway? Tamashii?

Not sure if this was posted yet but here's a better look at the Ghost assembly

Also, welcome back classic double hinged elbow.
OOOs has it too Fourze had it, but a different technique Agito had it Ryuki was single Decade was single I have no idea how they determine what style they will go with. |
I assumed with Ryuki it was a matter of something as big as the Dragreder coming at the cost of some of the kit, but I definitely think that both OOO and Ghost come with much more than Decade, so... it is for sure a bit of a mystery! Maybe they feel the double joint looks better on certain riders than others; and they thought Ryuki and Decade's aesthetic would be broken up by it?
|
Yeah not sure how they determine who gets what elbow design, especially since it feels like both accomplish the same thing? Maybe it’s case-by-case based on the rest of the construction. Ryuki was even weirder because he had odd knees that were half traditional half “fine build” clip-style.
|
My theory is that, if the suit has a black undersuit, it gets the classic double joint.
If the elbow area is colored or requires special detail, like Fourze has the lines, then it does a single piece double joint. Everything else is single joint. I personally think the single-piece double joint is the best looking. Hibiki, Fourze, and Den-O look great. |
But Ex-Aid and Zi-O have standard black elbows that are single hinge.
|
True, though those were early on. Not necessarily saying I agree with the theory but I'd call everything up to around Ex-Aid or W an anomaly due to how early on it was and how they were still figuring out what to do with the line, and weren't sure how popular it was
|
You know I've been wondering. Considering the build of the elbow joints, couldn't you give the single jointed kits double joints from another kit? Or are the connections different?

You can tell by the clear chest piece, that this is a resin test prototype. But it looks like some silver and orange paint. I really wonder if they are going to do two different black plastics. That would really make the kit excellent. |
I'm just worried about all the orange on the hoodie. There's no seam lines and it stops at the edges on the collar and sleeves, so those are gonna be stickers. Bandai learned nothing from Fourze.
