Asuuming Final Seal goes back to Clownhood, I may go that route and name it Pagliacci. If it goes full Seal Woman, and I like how it looks, I'll soft Reset for a girl and name her Saoirse or Bronagh. |
I hope to god the blatantly feminine direction they're taking Popplio's line in is an indicator that starter gender ratios are less bullshit this time around. I still do not understand why the hell it's 8:1.

The Fennekin line was feminine too, sure, but Brionne is another level above, for one reason: eyelashes. That sort of minor secondary sexual characteristic is cartoon code for "almost definitely a girl." Braixen didn't have that.
All I'm asking for is 1:1 really...limiting breedability is probably the reason but it's obnoxious and pointless in itself. |

Considering connecting with other players is far easier, it's no longer very difficult to get a female starter. I hope it means they make the ratios a lot better because of it so I don't pull my hair out trying to get a female Popplio (And if the ratios ARE improved, I might even soft reset for a good nature, something I've only done once, back in White 2 :lol)

Don't take XY's lack of improved starter gender ratio as confirmation that they'll never change it considering the massive list of changes to Pokemon that most people assumed would never occur. |

Yeah, like Matrixbeast said, they've been making so many changes to the games, many of them meant to make them more user-friendly and just easier in general to get the Pokemon you want, that if they did away with the dumb starter gender ratios, the only purpose of which is being user-unfriendly and keeping you from getting the Pokemon you want...wouldn't be surprising is all.
Though worst case scenario I just hope you don't need to go through like 5 minutes of fluff every time you reset for a starter like in XY...resetting for a female one without a shit nature (i think the first one i got was adamant or something lmao) was rather tedious. Also count me in the ranks of Maractus fans. Like literally the only Pokemon merchandise I have outside of the games is a Maractus finger puppet. Because. I love it. Cute cactus master race. |

I learned that the download file size for Sun and Moon is twice the size of X and Y. Holy moly. Maybe it's just due to the increase in detail and the new pokemon but I see people getting excited over this as some sign of significant post game content.

I'm surprise that they never did Mega Evolutions DLC for X&Y and the G3 remakes. I mean other Nintendo games got DLC, but Pokemon never did. Maybe Nintendo thought kids would not have the way to buy DLC without using their parents money?

Well the Type: Null and Jangmo-o evolutions have made me decide I will not be using Type: Null and Jangmo-o in my playthrough. Shame. I'd been considering.
So I'm down to just Popplio, Salandit and Rockruff. Honestly pretty surprised that with now over 50 SM Pokes revealed I want to use so few of them. Not going for any Alolans either...Hoping some of the Pokemon we've seen evolve into something cool. I have my hopes set on Morelul and Pikipek...heck. For that matter I just hope Salandit doesn't evolve into something lame. |
I think both evolutions for both Pokemon look cool. I see people on Serebii.net saying that the Type: Null evolution looks like a Digimon and I'm okay with that.

I like the look of both of them. Whether or not I use them is yet to be seen, but I don't dislike them.
