The archer doesn't get Thousand Arrows?http://i.imgur.com/wKDDZad.jpg
|
Wasn't gonna drop this until the US release date but I may as well say it now since review copies are being data-mined etc.
Despite what they claim November 18th is not a worldwide release date. The EU doesn't get it until 5 days later. Regardless, everything plot-orientated should be spoiler tagged. Don't make this like when X and Y was released and people in here were dropping huge spoilers left right and centre. As I said before, for the most part people have been great with this so thanks. But as the release date draws ever closer its worth repeating, since it only takes one person to spoil it for everyone. Thanks, now continue :lol |

Which is strange Zygarde doesn't GET 1000 Arrows/Waves in it's other forms. Unless they're simply Land's Wrath getting swapped, but I doubt that |
I can't believe Swolesquito's name is actually Buzzwole.
The memes were like one degree of separation away from being spot on. Holy moly. That's hilarious. |
I'm trying not to spoil myself much at all, but did just read something that baffles and kind of pisses me off.
Gengar's Levitate ability has been replaced with Cursed Body. Whyyyyyyy. |

Other Pokemon got changes, lot of stat buffs, few abilities changed. Not all for the better, unfortunately... An unrelated spoiler Also hilarious: Wimpod's evolution has the same ability, but rebranded to not sound pathetic. lmao. Quote:

Wait, we finally have a doubles speed in Hail ability? Yay! Took them long enough.

I have spoiled myself on most thing in terms of gameplay, not much in terms of story.
I love Primarina's Z move so freaking much, im kind of tempted to start with her now as opposed to Decidueye, but im still sticking with him. |
So I've been playing through the old regions in prep for Sun and Moon as well as compiling the six most prominent pokemon within each play through (aka the ones I used against the elite four and the champion) and I noticed something.
So in decending order of newest to oldest. Johto: (Current game in progress) Typhlosion Ampharos Crobat Nidorino Gyrados (Shiny) Heracross Kanto: Vanesaur Slowbro Magmar Zapdos Golem Gengar Hoenn: Sceptile Groundon Gyrados Skarmory Slaking Shuppet (Couldn't evolve it because of how cute it was) Kalos: Greninja Absol (Favorite of all time!) Noivern (Thank you Klonoahedgehog) Talonflame Manectric Malamar I've come to the conclusion that... MY FIRST TEAM WAS SHIT!! Why did I think it was a good idea to have two flying types and THREE dark types with how prominent fairies were in the sixth generation?!?!! :lol Either way, gen six is looking sick and I'm going with Poplio because the poor little thing got so much hate early on I felt bad for it. It's just so cute! |

Latest CoroCoro has leaked.
Just a couple of Ultra Beasts and one guy I assumed was an UB but doesn't appear to be classified as one? Could go either way I guess. Pretty restrained for the last batch of reveals. And here I was so sure they were gonna reveal everything. Looks like they're stopping just short of that. But hey, official art of Beasts, that's cool. Some people are saying these two are version exclusive, which is unfortunate. :( The green one is probably my second favorite UB, but origami UB is probably my least favorite...or tied for that spot. I mean I don't dislike it but it's no rocket launcher. Along with other things, really starting to regret not getting both games. I think there's gonna be a lot of benefit to having both versions this time around. |
|
Oh yeah, speaking of version exclusives, this hasn't been officially revealed but I figure it's probably relevant to the undecideds out there and it's not really spoilers so.
It looks like in addition to Solgaleo, Passimian, doggo, and UB Roid Rage/Lunala, Oranguru, edgewolf and UB Booty, Turtonator and Alolan Vulpix/Drampa and Alolan Sandshrew are version exclusive as well. Plus the two newly revealed UBs it looks like. So, something to keep in mind I guess if you're planning to use any of these and want easier access to them. Fortunately outside of Lycanroc and UB papercuts I like the Sun guys more, which is good since I already preordered that. |

Vulpix Sun or Moon? |
And Turtonator exclusive to which? Really wanted to use one maybe.

Sorry, I should have clarified that. The ones I mentioned first, Turtonator and Vulpix, are Sun, Drampa and Sandshrew are Moon.

Corocoro showed something hinted at being related to the solar duo. As I didn't mind leaks, I know exactly what those things are, and I love em!
|
Eh, I would have liked to use an Alolan Sandshrew but kind of worked out a team of altogether new 'mons anyway. Just hope some of them don't show up super late in the game since I'm usually too attached by then to switch out.
|
So just found out Watanabe, who we love as the boxer trunks nomad Eiji from Kamen Rider OOO, was challenging kids to pokemon battles this May... Not it real life but for a short web series.

You know, I've been thinking, and sorry for the double post. With generation six coming to a close, I've honestly been looking back and feeling somewhat sentimental about many of the team members I've caught, bread, raised and trained so now I'm curious. Any of you guys have creatures from Kalos you love to death? Or maybe you came across something that due to the change in mechanics was able to fair you much better than in a past generation? GO ON GUYS! SPILL!
I'll start I guess with a few of my own. Off the top of my head I have roughly three mvps that I will continue to use in Gen 7 when poke bank comes around. My Togekiss Beelzepoof, my Infernape Baron and (can't believe I'm saying this) my Slowbro MermaidMan who I love to death. Good god! I had my doubts slowbro but you've redeemed yourself by being so good at just sitting there taking hits and dealing damage. Slow and steady wins the race was never truer. As far as megas go, I have to give credit to my Salamence Anvira which helped me clear 5 of the 8 gym leaders at an anime con's pokemon league (I lost to Fairy, Dragon and Electric) but I always fall back to my very first mega, Mega Absol. I feel a very personal attachment to Absol as my sister gave me one named Abby back during my very first play through of Pokemon Y and although she was poorly trained, her moves barely passable, and IVs that were complete crap from a competitive sense, I still love Abby and her descendant Fang has been a staple of my team to this day. ... good god I sound like a basket case don't I? :lol |
Talonflame, not for Smogonbird shenanigans but as my go-to Fly/Egg Hatcher. Trevanent also pleased me, and so has Doublade.
And Chesnaught has such Utility. Super Fang, Seed Bomb, Drain Punch and an Elemental Punch with Assault Vest. And speaking of AV, Mamoswine is beautiful~ I hope Mr. Mime gets Draining Kiss next gen. |
Quote:
In all seriousness, Mamoswine was just an annoying thing I ran into back when I wasn't familiar with what type every useful pokemon was. :lol It walled me out so many times in the early days I kinda came to hate the damn thing. Ah well, I love the big mammoth now... because at least he ain't Gurdur right?... Right?! As for that Chesnaught set... huh, you mind if I gave that a whirl on Showdown? I've been looking for a good set for the big cuddly... what the hell kinda of animal is Chespin supposed to be anyhow? :lol |

As for favorite from past Gen Aegislash was one of the coolest pokemon that I like. Garchomp , Darkrai, my 2 favorites that I love from Gen 4. As for Megas Salamence and Gardevoir were the ones I use the most the dragon won me so many wifi battles. Also I would love to see a pokemon that's like an omega like we have Arceus the alpha pokemon. Last I just want to see Slaking with a new ability already I mean come on trollfreak. They can give Mewtwo two mega forms but can't give Slaking a new ability? |
I hope the stuff about Bank updating for Sun/Moon in January is crap because I wanna start transferring my Pokémon ASAFP!
|
If we're talking about sentimentals, all my Milotics. My Gen 3 Milotic, from my mother, named simply "Milotic" because...Because, to Rarity and Nurigami, all the way to my ORAS Milotic, SweetieBelle.
When it comes to Pokemon, it's my Milotic squad that makes me smile to most~ When it comes to Gen 6 in specific, it's my dog, Furfrou, that became the MVP. Competitively, yeah, it's not that good. But in game, he was basically unstoppable. Early game headbutts picked up the slack when someone else in my team was lacking, to the later game, where his damage dropped off, but his fur coat ability made him an ideal wall. I really love him~ Oh, and I can't forget my Volcarona, Mothra, or my shiny Volcarona, Mothra Leo~! In Gen 6, I trained so many Pokemon, not for competitive reasons, but just because I could make esoteric and silly teams to battle with friends, including others on this board, so I came to appreciate a lot of Pokemon I used to not really care about. And I'm glad. The time spent breeding and grinding, while it was a chore, really made me come to appreciate a good hundred Pokemon I would've never noticed before. I can't wait to do it in Sun~ |

And go ahead. Super Fang is for the same reason Sejun Park put it on his legendary Pachirisu (break walls), Drain Punch for STAB Sustain, and you can do whatever EV spread you want. |
