As a Litten fan, I disagree. Maybe it's because I've been on different sites and seeing different people, but as soon as those Chinese leaks were shown, everyone HATED Litten and hated it. and people thought Brionne was meh at worst

As a Popplio fan, I can wholeheartedly say that no one liked Popplio, and people were desperate for the Chinese leaks to be fake because Primarina was too feminine, and Brionne is unpopular for not being gender neutral in design.
I guess, since we're focusing more on which starter we like, we read a lot more of the negativity around them.

And I know what OU means. I played competitively since Gen 3. It's why I'd rather gargle razors than IV breed again :lol

I actually did wanna start playing VGC competitively, but when I saw the new tournament guidelines (Alolan Dex only, no Mega Evolutions), that all went out the window.

You're in the severe minority complaining about that. Them banning Megas is a good thing for the VGC Meta game. No more Kangaskhan, Salamence and Gengar is a very good thing.

I actually use Shiny Rayquaza as my Mega Evolution Pokémon, along with both Primal Kyogre/Groudon.

So to that I say screw the Metagame! Hell, I don't use any defensive moves. I believe in sheer brute power to win my Pokémon battles.

Rayquaza would've been banned even if Mega's were allowed anyway...

Also VGC doesn't really have good use for brute force, Fake Out and Tailwind are 2 very popular moves there

Sneaky Pebbles aren't very common on VGC teams from what I saw, but yeah, stall is a pretty good tactic. Though it won't be any longer considering the changes in SM!

Vespiquen should have an It-exclusive ability called Hive Guard which nullifies damage from Fire, Rock and Flying.

Too many weaknesses and things that resist them. I love bug types, but they're kinda shit, especially because lots of em have shit stats.
That being said, when a Bug type is good, it's DAMN good

Beast Balls, you're only given a single one apparently, and you can ONLY have one, however, the game checks your bag. Give it to a pokemon as a held item and boom, you're given an extra BBall

Stall is for cowards. That's why I also never use stall moves like Protect, Detect, Endure, etc.
