I really should watch Xros Wars. I didn't give it much opportunity.
However, I also did not like one bit of it...Hmm... |

I don't really quite know how that works, but I can get what you're saying.
Perhaps it's because our hero owns about 50 Digimon? |

Well, they wanted to show how important DigiXros (Or whatever the fusion is called) is, so I'm not surprised.

And I hope for another season after tri, too. |

Oh, I see. Well, I guess when a series needs to reinvent itself, a gimmick would be the easiest way to do so.

He's not traveling around with an army so the Pokemon he does get hold some form of impact. Xros Wars it's just throwing more and more Digimon into Shoutmon (Or that other Digimon when the main character inexplicably switches), so it just turns into a number. Quote:

They should totally do an anime adaptation of Adventure V-Tamer 01 for the 20th anniversary.
Or not. A new Digimon series would be rad though. Hopefully one less gimmicky than Xros Wars. |

Is V-Tamer the one with Zeromaru?
Is so, then please no~ |

The fusions were gimicky sure, but I enjoyed the lack of levels because at least it fit it's premise of winning with strategies instead of just power. Quote:

And probably very confusing for a lot of viewers, not sure if a full series would be a great idea, but anything V-Tamer is cool in my books. That'd be nice. |
I didn't mean Shoutmon swapping, I mean the main characters (Both human and Digimon) swapping with a different duo.

I would love to have a "back-to-basics" Digimon anime back on the air right after the Tri movies are over (or even with the Tri movies going on)..........I think after all the Xros Wars stuff, it is a time to return back to traditional evolution (digivolution)

What would "Back to basics" constitute, anyway?

And Saban throws bad puns in the dub. |

Just give me a Digimon series where: The randomly chosen kids aren't really random (Sans a few) The ominous digital threat is actually more of a threat to the real world There are no life lessons beyond "Don't be stupid" and "Don't be a terrible person" The kids aren't the most virtuous in the world and they aren't the embodiment of one particular trait The talking animal buddies actively want to kill each other (Once again, sans a few) And there are no angels whatsoever, but a ton of demons and devils |

As long as I get big organic beetle monsters and badass Angels, I'm golden,

For me:
Have a Tamer have at most 3 Digimon partners, like in most games, and nothing more If there's to be DNA Digivolution, and not that Xros Fusion stacking on nonsense, make the combo Digimon actually look like a combo of the two, not just a new thing that's slightly related (looking at you, Ankylomon/Angemon). Final enemy is an evil Tamer and his partner, not just some evil Digimon or Data entity Royal Knights, if they are there, aren't asshats and actually side with/look out for the protagonists when they're not busy If not the Royal Knights (that would be a surprise), please use the Olympus Twelve as the go to mythological pantheon Kumamon/Bearmon is one of the main partner Digimon. Because I freaking love DigiWorld 3. Maybe not cards like Tamers, so as not to step on its toes, but how about have the Tamers supply elemental chips in their new digivices that add power to their partner's attacks. A Matt stand-in that isn't as much as an ass that he was (like Koji, something I actually like about Frontier). Maybe one person with a Digi-Beetle. Because I'm a sucker for a tank. A Digimon with a White Mage role. |
I don't think having an evil human and his partner would really be that interesting, to be honest. None of the human villains Digimon has had have really been interesting in the slightest, and I doubt it would work just because he'd have a Digimon by his side. Having an evil Digimon works because it's easier to implement, but can still have a level of interest and depth to.
Also, thinking of the main villains, of the 6 series, it's only been a Digimon half the time, curiously, so it's not like it's really that overused. |
How about this, try to do again what they did in Hunters, have a Digidestined who's one of the main team and his partner turns out to be the villain and has just been using him the whole time.
also have a female gogglehead, it would be an interesting change of pace. |
I absolutely hate Cherubimon's design.
