Kivas' movie is so out of canon it's hilarious :lol The same actor who played Saga in the series is in this film as Kamen Rider Ray. Wataru meets Otoya and Megumi meets Yuri by a series of events going to the past. Then the 2 are brought to the future. Which COMPLETELY contridicts the show as the only meetings Wataru had with his father were when he went to the past to try and erase himself. And Megumi never met Yuri that I can recall. Also the entire group at the cafe know that Wataru is Kiva and are completely cool with it. Even though the majority of the show has them thinking that Kiva is evil until the final stretch. It's not a very good movie either.

It's Kiva, I assumed that much. :p

Hey now don't start an argument :) Kiva is a great show but the movie...... hoo boy. It's just a train wreck. And there's never any real explanation as to why Arc is like 10 feet tall.

I am on episode 6 on Kamen Rider OOO. Gattakiriba has insane CGI money munching powers of duplication.

Which is why you only see it a couple times early in the show and then Eiji loses the Kuwagatta medal and never gets a replacement.

Kamen Rider 10th Anniversary blah blah blah...it's the ZX Special. I wanted a taste of Showa last night and don't have the time for a full show(a). It was okay. It devolves into a clip show 3 times. That normally bothers me, but I'm unfamiliar enough with Showa that the clips were actually helpful.

The plot is pretty much Kamen Rider Abridged. Evil organization makes Rider, Rider turns on evil organization, Rider has a personal fight with the "Goldar" of the villians (in this case Tiger Roid, a design that made me say WTF in Superhero Taisen), new Rider teams up with old Riders to defeat evil organization, and finally a happy ending because bad endings didn't exist on TV back then.

It's overall bland and very cheesy, but god help me if I didn't enjoy myself. I'd recommend it to those unfamiliar with Showa and just want a taste of it.

I'm 12 episodes into Agito so far and I'm really enjoying it. Hikawa is probably my favorite character of the series but I do like Souichi as well (probably because I like bad puns). Hell, I'm even considering getting an Agito Figuarts now despite its failings. I'm currently neutral on Gills, while he has an awesome design then character isn't really doing anything for me. I hope that changes. Oh, and Houjou is the biggest asshole ever and I hope he gets what's coming to him.

I'm on episode 7 of Agito right now. Man I feel bad for Ryo. First his coach starts avoiding him then his girlfriend flat out tells him to stay away from her. Poor guy.

Trust me, it gets much worse for Ryou. It's kind of his thing.

Hojo's heart is in the right place, but he is a complete douche that keeps doing to wrong thing while thinking he's right. He has his moments of importance though. Like the characters in the show, you just have to put up with him.

Oh and another thing I thought Gills first fight was badass. He just went wild on that Lord. I read somewhere Gills was designed after Kamen Rider Amazon. Now I'm interested to see that.

More or less. Gills has a savage fighting style that's very much like Amazon. Huh, there's a fight I'd like to see.

So I recently finished Blade, It was awesome, like everyone told me it would be. Kenzaki is a total bro.

Anyway, I've now started on Kiva & I really don't like Wataru right now. I mean, he's basically retarded & looks like a wimpier, baby-faced version of Haruto (or Haruto looks like a manlier Wataru). But when he transforms into Kiva it feels like he's a completely different character. I kinda wish Otoya could turn into Kiva, because he actually looks like he could be Kiva (not to mention he's a much more likable, yet mysterious character). Also, those bath scenes make me uncomfortable.

BUT, it's episode 3 & the ally of justice, Nago has arrived! I can already tell I'm gonna like this guy, his introduction scene where he beats up the gangsters reminds me so much of "W Returns: Accel", & I love that movie.

And lastly a few misc. points:
-Does nobody notice how day spontaneously into night & the middle part of a sky scraper turns into a GIANT DRAGON CASTLE & FLYS AWAY!? HOW DOES THAT GO UNSEEN BY EVERYONE!? WHY IS NOBODY INVESTIGATING THIS!?
-Everytime Kivat says "Wake Up!" It keeps making me think that this is all Wataru's comatose dream.

Nago had the potential to be a nice character, but they dumped it all down the drain. And Wataru pretty much stays a wimp / emo throughout the series, then suddenly get a lame bad-ass switch.

Yeah, the serious disconnect between Wataru and Kiva always bugged me, too. And if the bath scenes are weird now, wait until he starts inviting his guy friends over.

As for the castle thing... just don't expect a lot of explanations from Kiva. It's easily the one Rider show with the most amount of random crap coming out of nowhere with very little explanation. There's a lot of stuff that will also just randomly show up once and then never be mentioned or seen ever again. The show is just full of BLAM scenes.

Yeah there's plenty of random stuff through that franchise.

Still a really great show though. Don't write it off. Wataru is a complete pussy in the begining but once he gets his badass face on he SCARED AWAY FANGIRE WHEN IN HUMAN FORM. That's when the shit got real.

The baby castle thing was the worst. Literally came right the hell out of nowhere, appeared only once, and there was never anything even remotely approaching an explanation for what the fuck had just happened.

Ohhhhhhhh yeahhhh. I forgot about that one too. I actually have the candy toy of Doran, the Ixa tank, and the baby castle.

Watched episodes 26 and 27 of X Rider this morning, still loving it.

Episode 26 is the Starfish Hitler one, for those of you who were wondering. It's actually a really nice costume - probably the best of the King Dark era kaijin so far (although I still vastly prefer the Greco-Roman designs from the first part of the show). I was actually more amused by the crazy hippie scientist, though - at least until it was revealed to just be a disguise.

Episode 27 is a clip show. Not of X itself, but of all the Rider shows up to that point. Aside from a cute framing device it would have been completely forgettable except for one thing: this episode featured the return of Kazami Shiro, Kamen Rider V3. It was really cool seeing him team up with Keisuke, including a nice double henshin scene. It was also nice that his return felt much less random than Hongo and Ichimonji's return in V3.

On episode 27 of Kamen Rider W.

I f***ing hate the story line with the doll, little girl and Akiko. It had a sympathetic end, but the whole two parter was basically the most annoying and useless character in the show yelling and screaming her ass off over a dead little girl. Shotarou and Terui didn't even get to kick much ass because of the bitchiness of Akiko stopping them from attacking puppet master.

I must be like the only person who watched W and didn't hate Akiko but did find the show itself to be bland and boring :lol

I started out hating her, but as soon as Terui came in and balanced everything out she grew on me.

I'm aboard this bandwagon also. Shotarou was the saving grace of the entire series for me. Had he not been a great character to follow, I would have given up the series. Not that I hated Phillip or Akiko, I just didn't care enough about them.

Just watched episode 28 of X, wherein a young boy is stripped to the waist and tortured with hot coals before being strapped onto a table with a circular saw closing in on his groin. This show is fucking dark, man.

Oh man. So, episode 8 of Kiva & I just say the scene with the Baby-Giant-Dragon-Castle-Thing. This is definitely on my list of "most ridiculous but utterly awesome Kamen Rider moments", right after Wizards "Dragon-Boot Rider Kick". I mean, it was awesome enough when he summoned the Dragon Castle to fight the other giant thing, but then the Baby Castle comes, mounts itself on top it, converts its towers into missile launchers & to top it all off, Kiva gets propelled by the castles fireball to deliver a giant flaming Rider Kick & OH MY GOD THAT WAS AMAZING.

I don't even care that it came out of nowhere & I'm never gonna see an explanation for anything that happened. I'm just too blown away.

EDIT: Oh, BTW, there was a scene where Shizuka was listening in on Wataru & Megumi, & Kivat was flying around but she didn't really acknowledge him. So does she know Wataru is Kiva? Or is she just aware of Kivats existence? If so how the hell did Wataru explain that one?
