So I have no idea if this question fits in here but its Sentai Related so I'm going for it. Does anyone know if the DX GaoRanger mecha are compatible with the Wildforce Zords. I remember hearing that the two are nearly Identical and I figured if I'm gunna start hunting them down I might as well know which to get

Here is a question for all TokuNation members.
Which amount of Sentai Rangers you prefer to have in Super Sentai? 6 Sentai Rangers or 7 Sentai Rangers |

Reason he gets my vote is because I felt he was very invested in his role as Gai and I think his best moments that demonstrates this were his second appearance where he had to prove himself as Gokaiger's sixth man, the Dairanger episode, and that scene where he encounters Goushi/Mammoth Ranger. Also the fact that he did his own stunts for the show is definitely a plus which is a rarity until Sano Gaku entered the toku game. Pick 2 would be Aiba Hiroki who played Ryunosuke/Shinken Blue because I trusted he would do well when he was announced as being one of the heroes, but still worried me since they like to typecast him as the typical handsome/rich playboy. Thankfully he broke that assumption and delivered as a by-the-book square + comic relief we love as Ryunosuke. Pick 3 would be Deai Masayuki as Tessai/Kyoryu Gray and Shinya + his suit actor because the subtle mannerism difference between Tessai and Shinya was nice to see. |
Is it better for a starting Super Sentai team to have 4 men and a woman or 3 men and 2 women?
|
Would any of you Super Sentai Fans like to see more 6th Rangers who are Green, Black and White instead of Gold and Silver?

Well, when a thread has 145 pages, it kind of becomes a daunting task to go through them all just for one question.
|
I mean how it is stated numerous times how gold and silver are overused. The last sixth ranger conversation that was brought up in here mentioned that. It is pretty commonly said in this thread. The comment was more in jest rather than damning for not knowing the ins and outs of the thread.

How does the theme and motif work for Super Sentai teams? I mean how do they come up the idea like for example, Ninja, Animals and Shape for Kakuranger? Is there a website where I can research these kind of ideas for Super Sentai themes and motifs?
Note: I apologize if these questions caused a bother |

Lol. I have no idea, but I am pretty sure Bandai has some sort of a say in it so they can design toys around the theme. They probably assign a producer and writer, then they think of a motif they haven't done/haven't done in a while, and build a story around that. Or it could be as random as throwing a dart at a dart board with ideas written on it, lol. I really don't think there is anywhere to reference for confirmation on how new motifs are chosen, but I could be wrong. |

I have two questions.
1. When do you think we'll start getting previews for the next Sentai series? Like suit designs, name, etc? I haven't been in the game long and I don't remember when the Ninninger rumors started 2. Working on a Sentai cosplay, any idea what kind of boots I should use and where to get them? |

I prefer my beast bots smooth. |

Edit: thought of another question. Is there anywhere I could read the Jetman manga in English? |

(To give you an example, here's a photo of my Yayoi cosplay. The boots are normal court shoes and bootcovers with a gummi strap to fasten them on the shoe and a zipper for the leg) Quote:

Toei, you rascally punsters! |

Then again again, this is Japanese and I'm used to English puns. |

Like with Engine Sentai Go-Onger. Engine is an english word so it should be written in katakana. But its written in kanji as 炎神 which translates to Flame God. |

So what if we are wrong in our assumptions that it will be like Gaoranger? What if they are hunters that are animal themed? Like all the animals used will be ones that are known as good/effective hunters? They are gun-kings/hunters and they go through space to catch different things. Maybe that is where the space and princess stuff is coming from; we had space pirates for the 35th, what if it is space hunters this time?
Just an idea. |
I'd be rather interested in watching that, especially if they went with a bounty hunter like idea that incorporated some of the older military bits from the Showa era. The main villain faction can be similar to Timeranger and have fled to Earth, so the rangers, a team of bounty hunters, are put on the job to hunt them down and catch them.
|
Interesting idea, Red5.
I doubt that Toei would encourage animal hunting in a show geared for kids. BUT if we subtly twisted your idea and made the team more like Ash & Co from Pokemon, who collect and have positive relationships with their animals (err--when they're not making them fight for their own amusement, that is), I could see that being a total possibility. (And I actually wonder why that hasn't been the basis of a Sentai team already. Though maybe Gaoranger is already like that? I know very little about it.) |
Who is looking forward to the next Super Sentai season?
|
I'm sure most of us are, since I don't think many people are too keen on Ninninger.

Fear not, our numbers will grow once the show ends. Tis the nature of fandom. |

Besides, Toei's puns are usually more... awkward sounding, like with Hurricaneger and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone. Quote:

Btw. adding to the Gun/Beast discussion: If they would have made a pun on guns, it would be called Denjuu (or even DenjiJuu) Sentai aka "electric gun", not Zyuden, which would read as "gun electric". |

(But also... come on, if you think this is different than Toei's other puns you're going to have to come up with a better argument than "it only works when you say it out loud." Cause... that is how most puns work. Especially when the pun is found in the title of a show made for Japanese toddlers who probably can't even read hiragana yet, let alone kanji.) Quote:

Another question! I'm on a roll lately, huh?
What series should I watch before checking out Akibaranger? I know characters from Jetman, Zyuranger, and Dairanger show up, but do any other characters make appearances? Does it have any large references to other series in particular that I would miss if I haven't seen them? Speaking of Akibaranger, which parody do you guys prefer? Akibaranger or Carranger? |
