The one I saw him at is 90 minutes south from where I live. The one closest to me still has a few of those Ultra Magnus boxes with the translucent variant included, but I haven't seen the single release at that location. The one closest to me is one of the weaker ones, which tends to get things much later if ever.

I could see them throwing Inferno into the next line, like how quite a few characters in Earthrise were clearly 'completing' things not finished in Siege (Snapdragon etc)

Watched a review of Fans Hobby's Armada Optimus, and man, the articulation really suffers in order to compensate for the Combine Mode. Still, here's to hoping Fans Hobby makes an Armada Hot Shot and Starscream one day.

I definitely hope so. His exclusion seems so odd (Other than to avoid confusion by having 2 voyager class figures in the same subline be named Inferno).

I'm in a serious Beast Wars mood right now, but it's also a weird mood.

I'm happy that IDW is doing a new series (they're about 4 issues in so far), but it's a little weird for it to be a separate continuity from the original show. That said, almost every comic related to the Beast Wars cartoon finds some way to twist the mythos of the show around to the point of near total obfuscation! The one that pisses me off the most is "Dawn of the Predacus"!

Also, the idea of Liege Maximo being largely responsible for the Maximals in the 2005 IDW Continuity just sounds like an old fan theory which tried to connect the finale of the G2 comic with Beast Wars. If such a theory did exist back in the day, it's an interesting take, but it feels a little too easy because of the all-too-obvious name comparisons.

I'm happy that they're doing newer, semi-show-accurate figures, but the distribution and the cost are just maddening. I like Blackarachnia's show-accurate robot mode, but the beast mode is just meh.

I'm immensely curious as to how Kingdom is going to tackle the BW cast, but given how the animated version of the Trilogy has played-out so far...

I wonder how a Beast Wars movie would work? Most people are not going to take live action CGI animals seriously.

Considering Beast Wars was a show that didn't take itself seriously until the second half, I'd say it's fitting :lol

I'm not really into Transformers, a casual at best. Unable to finish Prime because stupidly my country's Netflix only has season 1.

But, I started Cyberverse and loved it.

Cyberverse is a great show. Especially once you get past season 1.

A gamble to be sure, but a worthwhile one in my mind cause I'm a little peeved that the Bots and Cons of G1 get all the love these days and the world at large needs to be reminded that there is more to Transformers than just Bumblebee and Prime! Beast Wars is an element of decades past that Transformers fans remember, but one the public has largely forgotten, which hasn't been helped by Hasbro's substandard response to what Beast Wars did for them. If nothing else, this may reignite interest in Maximals and Predacons and led to newer offerings which freely echo elements of Beast Wars. Maybe one day we'll get an official explanation for the Series Version of the Vok and rather than TakaraTomy's attempt in the Legends Comics, which will led into a deeper retcon of the origins for the Tripredacus Council and Tarantulas.

I already enjoy season 1 so far. That means it'll get even better huh?

Yeah, I just spent a half-hour on the phone with a distributor, ordering Hasbro 2022 products (no images, a ton of codenames, I hate it so much), and I was a little surprised at what content was getting the spotlight. It's nice to see Hasbro doing stuff for younger/more recent fans!

Tyrannocon Rex is, to nobody's surprise, based on the Kingdom BW Megatron mold. Autobot JP93 is a Ford Explorer and apparently an all-new mold!

I genuinely want some of those Transcendental Technomorphs, which were based on the concept art for the abandoned TransTech series! The idea of a major hub where Interdimensional Cybertronians interact on a war-less world with a morally dubious utopia is hard to pass up.

I mean, the line is still heavy with G1 stuff... but your friend should still be at least a little excited! Transformers Prime fans should be slightly more excited.

That would be cool (if they're doing unused designs, I'd love to see the Animated Marauder Megatron figure get produced), but this new line definitely seems to be more geared towards new versions of things that already got toys.

Is Michael Bay back as the director or producer? I will probably skip it if he is directing it.

They really should. David Kaye's performance as Megatron is as iconic as Frank Welker's and it would be a shame if they ignore this. :rock:

Voiced Megatron in Beast Wars and Beast Machines; the entire Unicron Trilogy and then Optimus Prime (and I believe a couple others?) in Animated. Very popular and beloved voice actor in the franchise with a lot of significant credits to his name
