That's a bad idea.
It really is.
It demotes the entirety of the cast to bitch status and makes it feel all their efforts, their pain, their sacrifices, were pointless and makes the character being built up (This case AB and DT) feel like they weren't deserving because they didn't earn the strengths themselves.
It's not a good way to write a story.

The only ones i liked from it are Just for sidekicks and one bad apple, my favorite episodes on the show.
