It uses a spinning LEDs system similar to the DriveDriver, but is now advanced enough to create a unique pattern for whichever Ultra's Blazar Stone inserted into it. The patterns themselves seem to be based off the Ultra's portal/background that appears when they transform and grow.

The dx brace seems to only come with Blazar and Zett's, so perhaps Tsuburaya is going super classic with the show and not giving Blazar any side forms.

None of the other DX items we've seen so far indicate form changes either, it's just more stones of other Ultra.

Could be a Taiga-kinda situation where the Ultra uses the powers of his predecessors for special finishers instead of transformations. So we might get another Ultra in this show who uses a different transformation item altogether?

I am not a roleplay toy person, but that thing has me oddly mesmerized.

Not just that, but Blazar's named origin point of M421 is most likely a reference to Markarian 421, an actual named blazar.

Anyways, I haven't put all thoughts on the Blazar stuff yet, I think it all looks really cool and exciting. It's really interesting to see something so tonally and aesthetically different, especially for something that is marking the 10th anniversary of New Generation. I'm hoping it's a risk that'll payoff

UltraFest is now a thing in July at San Francisco. Will be showing select episodes of the original Ultraman in 4K & Shin Ultraman. More detail will be announced in the future.
