It's true! But those were just the easy examples at hand. I also could've mentioned that Kiriya from the second half of Hibiki would show up less than two years later as the secondary Rider in Den-O, but I know how people hate to be reminded of the second half of Hibiki. I was trying to be civic-minded!

My point, though, is that toku actors are constantly recurring (there's a callout on the Yodonna trailer post that's both a prime example, and also woefully incomplete for some of those actors), and that makes it funny to see someone on a toku board highlighting the weirdness of a non-American production using a small pool of actors for works within the same genre. It is weird, being a regular in Cartel Stories! But it also sounds weirdly familiar.

Well, yes, but you have to understand, there's a difference between toku actors reappearing in other shows later (or earlier) down the line, and this, because these are the same handful of people more or less just playing football with the same handful of roles. I'm not trying to complain, I'm just... it takes a lot of adjusting because you recognize That One Guy as being Dude 1, and That Other Guy as being Dude 2, and now That One Guy is Dude 2 and That Other Guy being Dude 1, and then you start another series and there they are again but now someone else entirely are Dude 1 and Dude 2 and That Other Guy and That One Guy are now entirely different characters and probably now shooting at their old roles. It just causes your brain to scream trying to reconcile it for a time.

Fair enough! That does sound like it'd start to get needlessly confusing.

Anyways allow me to go on a rant for a bit. I just got to say that I'm a pretty laid-back guy. I don't get mad when other people make fun of me. Heck I'd probably join them while they're at it. And despite all the emotional abuse I got from my mother for two decades, I still grew up a well adjusted if not a bit of an awkward guy and still try to get along with her unlike my siblings cut off all contact with her.

But still even with my ability to keep my cool, My patience still has it's limits which my new workplace is surely testing.

I could forgive that my workplace had no other artists to train me as I was starting out, forcing me to learn everything on my own

I could forgive that my boss is bad at explaining things and often forgets the stuff he told me earlier

I could forgive that unlike all my co workers, I have to work on Saturdays. Leaving me in the office all by myself.

I could forgive that they're giving me work that was not in the Job Hiring ad they posted online. I went in this job thinking that I'll only be doing design lay outs and T-shirt/Mug prints. Now it turns out I'll also be doing metal etching on gun parts.

I could forgive that I had to work for an entire month before I get paid but since I started on the middle of a previous cut off period, I have to wait 8 days more

But what I COULD NOT forget is our payday...My FIRST payday! getting delayed by almost a week!! (even worse payday was on the 31st and on a Monday) Sigh..I even promised my sister that I was gonna return the money I borrowed this Monday. And also imagine heading home tired only to be greeted by my mom who is pissed that our pay keep getting delayed.

Whatever they already promised 3 times so I hope that this time they really do give us our pay tommorow

It's 2:30 AM where I'm at right now so all I can say is that I'm sorry you're going through that. Having to slug through all that and then not having your work pay off (literally) can blow absolute chunks. Don't you have like a HR Department or something like that to report this to?

I'd say change jobs but regarding the current situation, well...Hang in there buddy. I really wish I can say more but my brain's about to catatonic.

For the last several weeks, I have been checking out the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics from Boom Studios which I wanted to for some time now and have just finished its fourth volume today. They are pretty enjoyable so far.
