Boy it sure was something watching the entire chat and half of Twitter turn against the Hasbro stream today because of how badly they've handled the G.I. Joe line.

It’s weird how these are some of the best looking figures they ever made but refuse to properly market them. That Major Bludd could pass for a Mezco One:12, the headsculpt is phenomenal.

But - I can’t get one. And neither can the people who actually care for and collect G.I. Joe, who actually try to find store exclusives, well, in stores.

Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers, Power Rangers, most of this stuff you can get everywhere with maybe one or two exclusive exceptions. But G.I. Joe Classified - you might as well count the few figures that aren't exclusive. To eBay that is.

Here's the thing, I was really excited for the line and they really are great figures. I even spent months waiting on a restock of the Pulse exclusive Snake Eyes set.

I just sold all five of the figures I had managed to get my hands on (Duke, Scarlett, Beachhead, PDD Destro, Pulse Snake Eyes) because even though I want to support the line, even though I love most of what they've put out, I can't because of all the hoops one has to jump through. Want the cool Troop builders? Hope you're ready to fight scalpers at Target for the possibility of them MAYBE getting a case. Want to try and get it off of Hasbro's own shop? Hope you paid up for the Premium membership so you can have the chance to beat the scalpers to order one single figure. Miss out on both? Welp, not our problem. Enjoy the scalper prices, better luck next time.

It is unbelievable how they've managed to mishandle this line so badly for almost a year. I almost feel like it's intentional on Hasbro's part because no company making that much money should have this much trouble figuring out the logistics for their product, pandemic or not. At this point it is both easier and cheaper to get the third party Not-Joes than it is the real deal, and that is depressing.

Twitter has a monthly paid subscription service now... this is one of those times where it feels like it's impossible to do an exaggerated "what if lol" joke about anything anymore because it'll just be real
