Well it took a little bit but I now have all the eighteen Type: Nulls I need. Who knew all it took was putting up a bunch of fully evolved starters on the GTS. You'd think people would value their legendaries more.

Now the challenge will be evolving them.

Seems like all anyone wants are starters, Dittos that are LV91 or higher, Archen for some Arceus forsaken reason and Type: Nulls. Who in their right mind has those Pokemon in Bulk?

Legit the reason why I swapped poor Lurantis out with Tsareena. Though it was worth raising him to level 34 so Tsareena could learn Synthesis as an egg move. :D

I'm sure you mean GTS, but Wonder Trade is also terrible at the moment. Wonder Trade has nothing but Route 1 Pokemon right now or rejected Abras.

Been messing around in Pelago for a bit, I kinda like it now tbh. Though I'm bummed Staryu and Drifblim, which I didn't have in the dex, left but fucking Pikipek stayed

On the last island and my 3DS battery gets warm whenever I play for too long. Should I start looking into getting a new battery or just take a break from the game?

Depends, check the back of your 3DS, if it looks like the back is puffing up then yes a new battery is absolutely necessary.

TBH the more I play through Moon the more I miss XY and ORAS.

The island challenge is kinda cool but so much feels like a regression.

And XY's story,Mon design and region just clicked with me better.

Took out the battery; doesn't look swollen and I did the spin test. Didn't spin on flat surface, so it could just be heat from long play times. It is a RPG after all.

EDIT: Mom offered to get a new battery for the 3DS. I feel bad about this, but I don't want the system to explode if I did the spin test wrong.

Well if there's nothing wrong with your battery then I don't see the need to find a new one.

I'm assuming that you have an original 3DS, I'd see if anyone else has that issue, since Sun and Moon really push the limits of that original hardware. I mean, seriously...I have framerate dips when just running around in Hau'Oli city with Tauros. Of course, from what I've heard, this isn't an issue on the New 3DS.

I have a launch 3DS; it does lag during double battles. I should be getting a New 3DS for either birthday or Christmas; does save data store onto the game card itself or the SD card?

On another note, I agree with the 'two steps forward, two steps backward, two steps sideways' sentiment some people have. In some ways it feels like a definite step up from Gen VI, in others it feels like a step down, and in others still a completely bizarre swerve to the side.
The story is impeccable, though.

I really enjoyed the story. A massive step upwards from a man with delusions of grandeur running an organization that thinks only the most trendy in the world should live. Meanwhile, all the interesting shit is a footnote that never gets expanded on.

Nevermind. Not gonna add Solgaleo when I get him. Just caught my 6th member- Burastoise the Tortunator.

Just breed a starter, level up a baby to its final stage and put it up for a Type: Null. I guarantee you will get it within half an hour, tops. That's how I got 15 of mine.

Cosmog is a bit more difficult. What I did is put up a Type: Null with leftovers, but since I didn't do that over a dozen times like I did with the Nulls I don't know if that's a consistent going rate. It's an idea if you can get more than one Null through the above method, though.

Anyway. This game is awesome. Story is fantastic. Really enjoying it.

Anyway, I'm up to Solgaleo. I'm trying to catch him in a Beast Ball, so that's a pain.

I've actually caught him twice now, but the first time he had a Mild nature, so I reset. I caught him for the second time as I was writing this (first time after that reset, so not too bad). He's Docile now, which is I guess better.

Ahhh. Don't know if I should be satisfied with this. Neutral nature isn't great, but it's not awful. And that x.01 catch rate isn't helping. But I'm using an Adamant synchronizer so I really would prefer to get him with that nature...

I really wasn't expecting Emergency Exit to work during legendary fights. That's a massive pain in the ass, as Golisopod is my only False Swiper. Ah well. I've pretty much settled on a pattern that puts me at an almost favorable position to catch him.

Third time was, indeed, the charm! Wasn't as fast as the last time (took a bunch more resets, ran out of balls a couple of times since I only had 10 a friend lent me) but it ended up being not too bad.

Though he's rather overleveled so he probably won't see much use for a bit. That's just how it is with legendaries, though.

It's saved to the cartridge, but you can do a system transfer and move everything from your old 3DS over to your new one anyway :)

Just beat the game. It's damn good, and even though it's got lots of flaws, (SOS battles, pretty easy to overlevel early and midgame, SOS battles, not all megas being available, did I mention SOS battles yet?) I enjoyed almost every moment

You don't save until after you beat the champion, have a 10 minute cutscene and fight Tapu Koko. However, you can KO it and go to it's cave later, because you can softreset it's nature the second time you fight it. It also has a catch rate of 3

And main game beaten. Wow that was a fun story. Heck the game in general is great. I thin Emerald might finally have a rival for favorite handheld game. But yeah, main game is done, time for the after game/real team training. Though I think I'll take a break for a little bit.

Also Lillie is easily my new favorite character in the games. She is quite frankly the best developed character I have ever seen in the main series.

I really loved Lillie. A non-trainer surprised me over how big of an impact she made. At first she annoyed me by being fucking everywhere, but halfway through she really managed to endear herself to me. It really made me realize how much I liked her when she left for Kanto at the end.
