Thank goodness Hail is such a dominant weather condition.

I didn't say it was, but people using Sandslash will no doubt be using Hail to abuse Slush Rush.

No one uses normal Sandslash in sand and sand is a much better and more common weather condition.

Not right now. Hardly anyone is using Sand without T-Tar and Hippowdon. Gigalith is much worse than the two of them. Normal Sandslash isn't even legal right now, so of course no one is using it...

They're at least giving Hail teams more options and goodies. Not necessarily enough to be top tier shit, but better than they used to be. New Hail setters, a Sand Rush equivalent and some new dual type combos is a pretty decent shot in the arm. I mean, Sand Rush on Excadrill was enough to make Sand top-tier shit back in Gen 5 after being utter mediocrity before. Of course, Hail is a little less than mediocre, so there's that to consider...

Well, the reason why Hail won't really get it's time to shine are 2 main reasons:
It doesn't have a significant secondary effect/use. Sunlight and rain half the damage of their opposite attacks and gives benefits to grass and electric, respectively, while Sandstorm gives a nice SpD buff to rock/steel/ground, as well as damaging each turn. Hail just kind of deals damage. 100% accurate Blizzard is nice, but it's just not a big enough bonus.

The other problem is that Ice type sucks. Regardless of what type you are, if you're half Ice, you will always gain more weaknesses than resistances because Ice, in a move of brilliance, only resists Ice and is weak to 3 common types and one type that is gaining a little more traction because of Fairies...

I think they need to either give Hail the SpD (Or Def) boost Sandstorm gives to Rock/Steel/Ground, or just buff Ice to give it a couple more resistances so it's a more beneficial type to have.

Blizzard doesn't miss in Hail. Granted, it solves nothing, but it's there
Misty Terrain also sucks, especially for poor Fini, it means Fini can't run Scald or status moves and the other effect, halving Dragon moves' damage, doesn't do diddly squat for Fini

Don't even get me started with that. The first time I found one it did that right after escaping from an Ultra Ball. Nearly lost the second one in the same fashion, luckily the move didn't quite kill it and the next ball captured it.

You can get bottle caps as prizes is what he's saying. Problem is, the stalls are RNG to get, version exclusive and RNG to win. You'd have a better time farming them from Dhelmise (1% encounter rate, I know) or Poke Pelago as 30 shards can be traded for a bottle cap

I believe the idea is to get a full Plaza (or at least as many as you can get) of the 5-star lottery that has Bottle Caps as prizes. The more stars the stall has the more likely it is to get the higher prices, and the more stalls you have the greater your chances of getting more bottle caps reliably that way. It actually probably is the most viable and quickest method, provided you can set it up, but it's that setting up that is a problem. The idea would be to find someone with the stall you need on the internet, trade codes, and then buy it from them. It would facilitate things.

It actually is a considerably faster method than say, the shards, since those you can get at most twice a day, and you only get a small handful at a time. Getting thirty of a single color takes forever, and that's just for one.

First of all, beans can be incredibly helpful as they can literally half the waiting time, second, you're forced to grind FC and the rewards just take forever, and third, it's still garbage as you have to wait once a day for it.

Yes, beans halve the waiting time, but still only to twice per day. Let's be generous and say you get 6 shards at a time, so you get 12 a day. Assuming you get equal amounts of each color, that'd still take about five days to get enough for a bottle cap. In comparison, I don't get how you can say another method is garbage because you have to wait a single day for multiple chances at getting a bottle cap directly.

Like, I'm not defending the guy or anything, I don't care. I don't watch his videos and it's not like he came up with the idea. But if a person can pull it off I think it's probably more worthwhile. Of course, it does require FC grinding, but it's honestly not difficult to do so. I just do the type matchup tests while I'm watching other things. It's quick and it yields a lot of coins. And they're always going on, so you can just jump in and reap the benefits. It's not the end of the world.
