Okay, adding Carlos to the "Not very good" category, too.
TJ is getting better as I watch, but he's still not there yet. Anyway, watching the episode The Robot Ranger. This is some Twilight Zone sh*t right here. :lol |
And, with that, I have finished Power Rangers Turbo, episode 1 to Episode 45. I did not skip episodes. I did not fast forward.
Was it good? No. Was it enjoyable? Oh hell yeah. This is a series that left a bad taste in the mouths of many, but I can't see why. Honestly. Watching it left me constantly asking "What is this series doing that is so terrible that it's widely regarded as one of the worst?" From an acting standpoint, the weakest performances were from the precious holdovers from Zeo, including fan beloved JDF and Johnny Yong Bosch. David Blake, Justin, acted circles around them, and the majority of the MMPR cast as well. The concept of the character was dumb? Fine. But fish-headed alien ninjas are a-okay? A super genius who can build a f*cking time machine but can't make any useful devices is good, but having a kid be a Power Ranger is horrible? Having a set of 5 goody goods, completely perfect in every manner who commonly participates in every sport, charity event, and after school activity are endearing characters, but having a flawed and interesting character is bad just because he's a little kid? I seriously want everyone who hated on Justin to shut the hell up, take a step back, and realize that, out of Everyone in MMPR, Zeo, and Turbo, he was the only one who was written competently. Anyway, the rest of the actors were very meh. Cassie needed a lot of work, TJ slowly improved, Ashley did fine, and Carlos needed to have lines to begin with in order to be judged. For the villains, they were horrid. The main cast of Divatox, Elgar, Rygog, and what's his name were dumb and Elgar should have drowned. The monsters of the week had terrible designs. For the story, it could have been better. What I mean is that, like MMPR, it seemed to have a lot of just episodes that were just action with a framing device of the juice bar or high school. There wasn't much plot, but Chase into Space (The last 2 episodes) were great, high tension, high stakes, it was just awesome. Turbo is not a good show. But no Power Ranger season is. If you're going to hate Turbo, fine. But if you're going to call it bad because someone on the Internet said so, then you really have to take a step back and learn to make your own decisions. 2/10 in general. 6/10 for a Power Rangers season. |
thinking i may have to watch turbo again. ill take any chance to see kat and ashley again and that a single season lets me do that is total win.

i think he means the writing and things arent on par with a show like Lost for example, or a csi.
