That's because there are two suits: the main one is made of fiberglass with a mirror finish for when the suit is standing still/looking epic. The stunt suit is made of a lighter and more flexible material. The early stunt suit didn't look nearly as good because the material couldn't get the same polished look, but around the time Makai Senki started they were able to get a better looking stunt costume. Mark Musashi explained a lot of that when he was on the HJU podcast.

I know there are 2 suits. I think that is actually a 3rd one (or 2.5 since they are using the same head and body armor) being used in this new show. The new material seems to be much easier for repair too.

I didn't know where to ask this but it is GARO related. What is the GARO equivalent of S.H. Figuarts? I've seen some but don't know what to look up for them.

EDIT: Nevermind I thought they were under something different.

That's weird. In the show Kougas vest was usually black.

Who knows. Maybe the color got taken out with all the filtering during video processing.

To be fair - I dunno about you guys - but the video quality of the rips I watched were so low for all I know his vest coulda been pink and I wouldn't have been able to tell.
