Just got done watching Akira Kurosawa's Ran. Very good movie, allbeit a little depressing.

Watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or how ever many of them are on Netflix.

Skip Doctor Strange. Trust me on this.

Dr. Strange isn't a part of it. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and The Avengers.

Which Doctor Strange are you talking about, anyway? The 70's movie or the animated one from a couple years back?

I had no need to finish it the first time. I like Doctor Strange, and Doctor Strangefate, but.. That movie was just aweful.

I thought the Sorcerer Supreme was a great movie, it had a list of flaws as long as my arm but the animation was for the most part, great, the anime influences were for once, used well, it was well shot, well directed and most importantly, the movie was big, epic, dark without being gratuitous, emotionally engaging and I just loved it.

I wasn't a fan, mainly due to character changes, such as Wong using magic or Dormammu being such a bitch.
I'm fairly certain my disdain for the movie had less to do with it's actual flaws, and more to do with it's arbitrarily changing details.
Though I did like Steven's character arc as a whole. I can't deny that it was fun to follow.

I guess that is our differences then. My knowledge of Doctor Strange is little, and pretty much every appearance he has made in comics or TV shows that I have read or watched largely involved him being a plot device and nothing more, either arriving to dump exposition and leaving, or arriving to do some huge plotkai attack, then leaving, so I've never really much cared for the character.
