Dark Pit could also just be a clone of Pit. Dark Pit and Dr. Mario should've just been alts.

Hilarious part being that Dark Pit was just an alt color for Pit in Brawl :p

God fans would be outraged if all the Koopalings weren't alts for BJ.

I don't even think Bowser Junior should be a character... It's not nearly as questionable as Goddamn Duck Hunt, or Dark Pit or Dr. Mario. But it still seems like an incredible waste to have yet another character from a franchise already over-represented.

Really, Bowser Jr. would be one of the few Mario characters (Birdo aside) that I wouldn't question to include.
I'd be a lot more accepting of him than Dr...

Bowser JR is still a better use of a spot than Rosalina, i like how he looks in battle.

Seeing that Doctor Mario is back gives me a smile, i like him a lot in Melee.

Dark Pit is just absolute bullshit.

Sakurai needs to stop jerking off to Kid Icarus: Uprising. Not only was it a mediocre game, that was characterised with a ridiculous control scheme that feels like it was thought up by an octopus and awful, awful dialogue that just never stopped, it was a tiny portion of the Nintendo franchise that doesn't deserve any more then one (two if lucky) representatives. Getting three is just absolutely insane. Metroid still only got one representative (unless you count splitting the same character from the previous game in two as two representatives, because I certainly don't) . Let that sink in. After four SSB games, Metroid, one of the "Big 4" Nintendo franchises, gets one and Kid Icarus: Uprising gest three. The same amount as Zelda. Not to mention at least ten items. It's insane.

I like Bowser Jr. I like Duck Hunt Dog. I like Shulk. I hate Dark Pit.

Also apparently Ganondorf is still a pseudo Falcon clone. Brilliant. :l I also haven't mentioned the insanely sexist ZSS alt costume, but I think that it goes without saying that that was a really stupid move on Nintendo's part. "Let's give an alt costume to Samus! Dark Samus? Fusion Suit? Power Suit? Actually no, she's a girl! We've already given ZSS high heels, so lets just get rid of any pretence of not objectifying her and put her in underwear! I bet a ton of basement dwellers will get a hard on for that!"

Needless to say I'm really disappointed in a lot of the new reveals.
