Didn't the ending of DonBrothers disappoint many fans? I actually think Takahashi is the Reiwa-era Inoue, but that doesn't mean Inoue himself can't make an appearance.

Yuya Takahashi feels very likely even if I don't want it to be true.

If the lack of writer announcement so far is them trying to drum up hype (and not just arbitrary Toei nonsense we are reading too much into) I kinda suspect it is Akiko Inoue. I think her first time as head writer on a tokusatsu show would draw a lot of attention. It could also be a totally new writer though.

I wouldn't mind seeing one of the recent Ultraman writers for a change. Or maybe like Build someone absolutely new.

I'm curious about the chocolate gun and chip swords. They look 2D, like cardboard cutouts although I doubt they're actually made of cardboard, and I wonder whether those are just placeholders to give a close-enough idea of the real weapons, or if those are the real weapons and they're actually going to be that flat in the show. I'd be very surprised if Toei released promotion images with placeholder props instead of waiting until the real ones were finished, but if they actually are that flat, that's, uh... a bold choice, even compared to the rest of Gavv's aesthetics.

Takano is another totally good option. I had strong hopes for King-Ohger when I heard he was writing and he sure didn't disappoint. By the end, it even surpassed Gokaiger in general popularity, so it would be a waste if Toei didn't reuse Takano's talent while his name is still fresh in people's minds.

Inoue (Toshiki) shows having mediocre endings is a pretty common complaint after all. I don't mind too much, as long as the overall work is high quality.

Why is that though? Is it just that he collaborated with Takebe before in Geats? I'm also concerned that Takahashi will get burnout like this. He already wrote all of EX-Aid and Geats by himself and what if Takebe would want him to do that once more, only 1 year after Geats ended. I don't want him to end up like Kobayashi in the mid-10s.

Well, I must disagree. The main writers for Gotchard are Hasegawa and Uchida and I think Inoue's episodes have stood out. Like, she's good at comedy, but she also wrote Episode 36-37 which were totally heartbreaking and showed us the conflict of hope and despair deep inside Houtarou.

If a blade gets too close to 2D, it will be super sharp, but also liable to break easily after a few strikes. I guess the idea is that just like potato chips, you eat one then draw another. Like how Zamigo Delma had expendable guns.

I feel like it's too soon for Takahashi to be on his 4th Rider show. I think someone new would be cool.

Tbh while the show got very exutive meddled, I feel like Nemoto (head writer for Decker), could deliver a very fun Rider show tbh
