I just think Raichu deserves to be boosted in terms of competitiveness. They seem to be doing that with Ampharos (and I'm happy for it) but Raichu needs it as well.

I like Raikou too, but from a design standpoint, he's my least favorite of the Beast trio.

I don't think it'll happen. Raichu just doesn't have the stats. While a Mega Evolution might help, it'd also remove any item options since it'd have to hold a Raichunite.

Watching Pokémon Origins now, and man, this is a good show! Will post thoughts as I watch them.

Few observations:

-Battles are so exciting for some reason. Very fluid yet frentic, and somehow remaining very faithful to the show. The animation is solid
-All the game references are so fun!
-Wow, they really kept some of the more mature elements of the game in this show. Team Rocket is eviiiiiiil.

Checking it out too, it's fun so far, very nostalgic.

But it's going to be very compressed.

I haven't seen any of Origins, but from what I heard, apparently Red catches all 150 by episode 4. That show is hella compressed...

Wouldn't surprise me.

I quite like the brisk pace. Although I think all adaptations in the future should take a leaf out of how they did this one. It truly is, in my opinion, the best way they could adapt Pokémon for TV.

Apparently i heard from a game reviewer that X and Y are kind of dull compared to other Pokemon games. The 3DS isn't a good system for sequels.

Regardless, Pokémon reviews haven't been very useful for a long time. We fans already know what we like in Pokémon games, so unless Gamefreak messes up massively (unlikely), it will be a good game.

Apparently the Pokémon for the third installment (likely called Z) has been revealed as Zygarde: Click here. It roughly corresponds to the Norse mythology symbolism the other two had going on.

Having a green Zygarde means the colors for X, Y and Z are Blue, Red and Green, the original (Japanese) colours of the 1st Generation.

Ive never gotten the hate for gen 3. Its my second favorite generation. If anything to me, gen 5 is the worst gen for me.
