*shrugs* I dunno. I read them back in like 2004-2005. You can try to find tem. It's 3 sets, Earth-X, Universe-X, and Paradise-X. Each set is like 10-13 issues, not including the omnibuses and 1/2's. I had the main sets of all 3. But then we lost the house and those were in one of the boxes I couldn't snag. Damn it I was so fucking aggravated! >_<
|
Found a trade of Earth-X on Amazon.de so gotta get it sonner or later.
That sounds really awful. |
You have no idea. -_-' As I said I had the main three sets, but I also had a couple of the omnibuses and maybe on or two 1/2's. The 1/2's were stories that took place in between the main comics, or had something to do that was going on while the main events were happening but didn't get shown in the main comics.
For instance, one was about Nick Fury. He was going on about the "Immortality Serum", whatever that his, that he took. And how he was on the run and everything. Then at the end of it all he gets killed and it turns out it was one of his damn Robot Doubles. So I don't even know if Nick is alive in this series anymore. Granted it's the original Caucasian Nick Fury. |

I know. But the story made you think it was really Nick. Then you find out its a robot. Which would explain why he thinks he's immortal because his consciousness is always being downloaded into a new body. Or I think that's how it worked back in those days. I never really followed Nick Fury anyways, so that whole scenario confused the shit out of me. :lol

I forgot a book. I read Reign. It was confusing. I didn't like it.
|
If you ever wanna read good comics read the current Daredevil by Mark Waid, Hawkeye by Matt Fraction or the Captain Marvel and Ms.Marvel books that are out.
|
You forgot Ant-Man, Spider-Man and the X-Men, and Spider-Man 2099.

I went to a place called "Half Priced Books" today. I got Phoenix Warsong 1, 2, and 4. I sadly couldn't find the 3rd and 5th ones. Made he rather upset. Well I snagged two other comics, but they are "image" comics.

I do miss Peter and MJ being a married couple, though, but it seems like they're FINALLY going to fix that. |

Then way later on Ock swtiched minds with Peter and after getting his memories too decided to continue his legacy as Spider-Man but with his own twist, as the Superior Spider-Man. No frigging clue what Venom thing you mean, current Venom is Flash Thompson. |

Here's what happened: Aunt May got shot during the Superhuman Civil War and was placed in a coma. This was because Peter revealed to the world that he was Spider-Man. Because medical science could not save Aunt May for some reason, Mephisto showed up and made a deal with Peter and MJ: Aunt May's life for their marriage. The two of them took the deal, and, at some point, Peter teamed up with Doctor Strange to wipe everyone's memory of his identity as Spider-Man (everyone except for MJ, that is). The spell was cast so that no one would be able to figure out Peter's identity unless he unmasked for them (the spell was broken during a 2012 story arc called "Spider-Island.") This story arc was called "One More Day." It was stupid. As a result of his 12-year-long career as a supervillain, Doctor Octopus began to succumb to cancer. In a final plot, he switched brains with Peter Parker in the final hours of his life, managing to delay Peter long enough for him to die in Ock's body. However, due to a mental connection as a result of the process, Ock experienced the lessons that Peter was taught through his life by a deluge of Peter's memories, and resolved to become a better hero than Peter ever was (he was not). He #@$%ed up, ended up being responsible for a takeover of New York by the Green Goblin and his army, and essentially ran away, dumping his problems on a ghost-Peter who had developed inside of Peter and Ock's shared brain. These events took place in the story arc "Dying Wish" and the series The Superior Spider-Man. They were both kinda stupid. But those are two story arcs. The first story arc of the current volume of The Amazing Spider-Man was pretty great, and that's before you delve into "Spider-Verse." Then there was Peter's tenure as a member of the FF, "Ends of the Earth," Superior Spider-Man Team-Up, Avenging Spider-Man, and Spider-Man and the X-Men. While "One More Day" and The Superior Spider-Man weren't the best, there are plenty of good modern Spidey stories out there. And MJ never became Venom. Not in the main universe. Flash Thompson did become Venom, though. Got his own series and everything. It was pretty cool. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/...+scan+14.4.jpg And he recently got a redesign: http://im.ziffdavisinternational.com...8_c36s.640.jpg Also, the current Moon Knight series is pretty cool. |
I never got to finish the Spider Island Arc...
|
Man The Superior Spider-Man was such a letdown in retrospective.
There were so many great ideas in that series and some of the issues were really good but overall it wasnt a good storyline. |

... Nope, nothing confusing about that. |

My recommendation? Start with Spider-Man and the X-Men. There are only two issues out, and everything you need to know is explained in the blurb at the beginning of the comic. |

one that everyone lost their minds about over nothing. |

still, it made me really fed up with comics when I saw TONS of people yelling "DOCTOR OCTOPUS [R-word]ED MARY JANE!" when it was just extreme lying. |

EDIT: Wait no he wasnt annoyed. He pushed her away from him intentionally to protect her from his life as Spider-Man. |

Not even close, MJ and Otto had one date, nothing happened. The "rape" controversy was over a whole different character, and it was a consensual realtionship between Ock and a girl that had never ever met Peter and was genuinely in love with Ock. |

I´m still mad about how they ended their storyline. Seeing how Otto acts in Spider-Verse I really wish they would find a way to bring him back into the MU after Secret Wars to coexist next to the Amazing Spider-Man. |
Really, I think Superior Spider-Man Team-Up was the superior Superior Spider-Man book.
