Have the preorders for the donguri and durian dx lockseeds gone up yet?

Oh wow, those Durian and Doguri sets are going to be expensive aren't they. I probably won't end up trying to collect all the lock seeds and face plates unless I find good deals on them.

On the other hand, I am wondering if the Musou Saber or Sonic Arrow are worth it...I probably won't get a Genesis Driver, unless there is a nice sale. I want the DX Lemon Energy Lock Seed but from what I've seen, people don't really think that its worth getting the Sonic Arrow for. The Musou Saber looks pretty cool too and it comes with the DX Melon Lock Seed which I like but already have a Candy Toy version. Hmm...this line might make me spend more money than I intended to. Haha

Preaching to the choir. The Candy/Gash Energy seeds don't cut it. DX or bust. I'm sorta okay with candy/gash Melon. But considering I will own all other DX seeds, I may end up with the Musou Saber anyway.

Everything is all a matter of perspective.

For instance, the site that was linked for the exclusive Bravo & Gridon set, sure it's 5600 Y, and when you look at something like the Ryugen set on AmiAmi, it's only 1310 Y. However, that's with a 27% discount. So, really it's 1800 Y. Multiplied by two, that's 3600. Only a 2000 Y markup, and it's an item that requires a middleman. Who knows what shipping to them, and what tax is, and their fees are. So it's not so bad.

As far as the Musou Saber and Sonic Arrow go, again, it's a matter of perspective. Sure, they're 3500 Y or so, but that's also figuring in a 1100 / 1300 Y Lock Seed respectively. So for 2k Yen you get something that works with EVERY Lock Seed you get, and unlocks an entire third (or better some may argue since without Driver / Weapon, DX Lock Seeds don't do a ton!) of the sounds that are already built in. So sure, it seems expensive, but honestly I wish I had grabbed a Musou Saber back when I was starting to pick stuff up, I really regret not, now. Luckily I had the forethought to grab a Sonic Arrow. I'll definitely want a Musou Saber though, since it forms an entirely new weapon with the Dubstep Gun.

Amazon finally got the SG Durian Lockseed back in stock at $30. Picked it up and it should be here by Friday. Looking forward to it. My Ryuki/Budo lock seed set is still a ways away.

So I just got my Sengoku Driver. I don't know if I was delusional or what when I ordered ir, but damn I had no idea how tiny this thing is. It's teeny tiny. I was expecting better for some reason I guess. the Lock Seeds are still quite fun but I'm not 100% sure I love the DX Driver.

I find it to be the right size for me XD. Probably cause I have had multiple drivers at a time and could compare sizes. That and my hands are kinda small, so lock seeds don't feel out of place :lol

Uh-oh. I just ordered one. Would you say the size is ok if it's strictly going to be used to accent a figure display? It's not freakishly toddler sized or anything is it?

I planned to use it to accent figures as well. And while I won't say toddler sized it is small. I don't have freakishly large hands or anything. But I can almost completely grip the thing.

Just got it in at work and started playing around with it. It's fun, but still not what I was expecting.

I hadn't really paid much attention to the Sengoku driver as I wasn't planning on buying one, but everyone around here seemed to be grabbing one lately and my resistance wore thin. Now I have to go learn about the different Lock Seed types. I wish there was a Deneb one. :lol

Oh, man. I ordered mine on Mandarake this morning. Waiting for confirmation will be a pain, especially since the AmiAmi ones are cheaper.

That is exactly how I felt when I received mine. The box was a nice size, not too large and not too small but when you open it up and see the Driver in person, it is a lot smaller than it appears in show. Haha.

I honestly feel that the Sengoku Driver was not exactly worth the $100 that I spent on it (shipped SAL from HLJ) and most of the value actually comes from the DX Lockseeds that it comes with. Now I don't regret the purchase but I do wish that the Sengoku Driver did a little more besides adding a couple of Driver specific sound effects (apparently Zangetsu faceplate is just for looks as well) before the Lockseed sounds. I have also considered getting the Genesis Driver to add some playability but not sure if it'll be worth it since I hear most places require it to be shipped via EMS.


How do people know when something at AmiAmi gets something re-stocked? Unless they always check through all the items that is. Haha

$100? Damn. I only paid about $75 and I feel cheated. I need to play around with it a bit more before I figure out how I feel. But currently I am disappointed with both it's size and honestly it's functionality.

Yeah, no thanks to the low Canadian dollar lately. I've been a bit more hesitant in importing since the value has dropped a bit. Might slow spending overseas until it rises again. Which is a good and bad thing since that means I'll be saving more money but also means that I won't be able to get everything I want right away. Also since HLJ's price was 7312 yen when I probably could have tried getting one off of Mandarake for 5000 yen, darn my impatience and fear of them going up in price. Haha

Whoa! I knew that driver was small, but not that small. Hopefully the sounds and whatnot make up for it since it's my first Driver.

I'm fine with the size and functionality of the driver. A little bigger would be nice, but it gets the job done. I forget how much mine ended up after shipping, but it was likely around what Den-O paid. Maybe less.

I'm excited to try the Genesis Driver. And the core with the Sengoku Driver.

The genesis driver is great, except for that damn gear noise.

There's a youtube tutorial for removing the gear. You can pop the back plate of the driver off and remove that entire mechanism just by taking out a few screws. Don't have to modify the driver in any way and you can just set that piece off to the side.

You can count me in the group of people who received a Sengoku driver today and felt it was on the small side. It's not bad, but I thought it would be closer in size to the Genesis driver. However, after messing around with it and my lock seeds, I can't say I regret the purchase. I have the Zangetsu faceplate and I forgot it was the same as Gaim's. That's why you don't get any additional sounds, because Gaim doesn't have any additional. Actually after messing around with the Genesis attachment, I feel safe in saying that the Gaim/Zangetsu faceplates are your basic sounds. When you attach the Genesis core, the belt will default to Gaim no matter the lock you use.

I was going to do this to my Genesis, since that gear is really annoying. My problem is that I like the gradual fill of the cup on the front and you lose that without the gear.

You could just slowly release the handle manually.

I'm just curious, the people who think the Sengoku Driver is "small", do you not have other KR Belts? Because it's not really any smaller than any of the other ones. In fact, I'd say it's actually quite big compared to like, Den-O or OOO. If I remember right I think the Kiva belt was pretty small too, really.

It's a middle sized one, with like Genesis, Meteor and Wizard being bigger.

This is the first series where I've bought the belt. It probably didn't help that I got the Genesis driver first. After messing around with it and trying it on, I don't think the size bothers me much anymore.

I have two others and, yes, I think the Sengoku driver looks small in comparison to the series one. Of the two I have, the Fourze driver is a pretty hefty hunk of plastic and the DecaDriver does seem small, but it doesn't appear that much larger in the series. I understand that it's a kid's toy but considering the price the, to my mind at least, scale difference is worth commenting on.

I love these ACs but the PBACs are going to wreck the wallet now. Hopefully Mr. Knuckle will be the last potential PBAC released unless of course they will add new Riders in future Gaim movies. Fifteen mayhaps?

The second they decided to make exclusives for the gimmick line, I called it quits on AC.

The figures are cool, but not that cool.

I think the entire AC game has been an absolute nightmare. Bandai gains nothing from scalpers, but the limited stock on like EVERYTHING has played right into their pockets. You think they'd take lengths to avoid playing right into their pockets. But oh well.

I really don't feel the initial shortages were intentional. We've seen the sales numbers. Kamen Rider toy sales increased literally 392% this year. They couldn't have had any idea whatsoever that would happen. Blaming them for the scarcity is pointless.

The fact that several figures have wound up as Bandai Premium Exclusives tells me they didn't expect to sell the initial waves of figures this well. And the only way they could get the non-main riders out was to do the exclusive treatment after the fact. They weren't prepared for this. I would speculate they had no plans to produce riders like Bravo, Knuckle, etc originally.

But shouldn't it be a problem when a mega company like Bandai 'aren't prepared'? You think they'd have a back up plan...or at least faith in their products. And I get that the popularity has been RIDICULOUS but I'm still amazed that Bandai could lose its grip on the aftermarket of their stuff so badly.
