Yes!! Jason Red Ranger is up for preorder for a rerelease along with Zeo Gold, and Drakkon. I almost paid $80 for Jason too. It looks like it’s his original helmet tho.
And got my preorder in for the 2 pack and sign up as a premium member since I miss out on the ninjas could not miss out on in space 2 pack.

Hasbro missed a MAJOR opportunity by not having Astronema/Ecliptor be their cyborg versions in a “Countdown To Destruction” 2-pack

I don't even collect LC, but it blows my mind that finishing a team is not a big priority of Lightning Collection. How many teams do we have that are started and unable to be complete now?
Quote:
This leaves the unfinished teams as Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Dino Thunder, SPD, Dino Charge and Beast Morphers; and I think it's very fair to note that all these teams were started at least a year ago with most of them actually having been around since Wave 1 or 2. But to also also be fair, most of these are just missing one or two members at this point. There's also technically Turbo and the Ninja MMPRs but both of those just started within the past month. |
Still for the life of me don't understand how they put out Time Force Red and literally no one else for like over a year...
On-top of some of these teams being around for so long and being almost completed for just as long it gets a bit grating wanting a team finished or added to just to see...more Zordon-era stuff instead. |
This might seem a bit mean, but... I guess to give a full view of the situation:
As it stands, Lightning Collection has 104 total figures revealed including today's reveals. Of that:- MMPR has 38 figures (including Fighting Spirit MMPR Green) BOOM has 5 figures (of which 4 are directly related to MMPR, with one more being In Space derived but featured in an MMPR story) TMNT has 7 figures Zeo has 9 figures Turbo has 1 figure (Phantom Ranger is technically labelled In Space, but... c'mon) In Space has 17 figures Everything else comprises 27 figures together (once again not including FS MMPR Green as DT) So! Some percentages based on that:- MMPR on its own is about 36.5% or slightly over a third of the entire line MMPR including BOOM and TMNT is 48% or almost half of the entire line The Zordon Era as a whole (MMPR, BOOM, TMNT, Zeo, Turbo, In Space) is 74% or 3/4 of the entire line. This, of course; leaves every figure from a post-In Space season at 26% or a quarter of the line. I'm laying these out in a purely objective manner to portray what the line sees as a priority and what we can expect from future releases. I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad decision, or that Hasbro sucks or that it's not what the fans want; it's very much just to show what you can expect from Lightning Collection. Also, I may as well say as a source; this checklist that is very diligently and constantly updated is what I used to quickly grab my numbers. It's very well laid out and nice to look at; and also has variations in its album that alternately orders releases by gender, colour, release method and release date. Very useful! |
Finister surprisingly looks really good for his price point! I won't get him, but man, the previews make him look on point in terms of sculpt.

Amazon UK has inadvertently revealed two more Lightning Ninjas.
Tommy's 9th figure
Still surprised that Metallic White hasn't been announced yet. Guess I was wrong about my 2-Pack prediction.
2-Packs are based directly on story moments and episodes now, right? So I'm thinking if there'll be any Tommy 2-pack it'll be MMPR Green and White, based on that one MMPR episode they fought
I think they are going to hold off on any metallic white and other announcements until they get certain figures out.
It's going to be easier to sell people on metallic white if they are already five rangers in vs 0/1. It will be easier to announce the next ninjetti rangers when people already have two (or got all those other preorders in). You don't want preorder burnout in a situation where shipping is being unpredictable. |
I wish they can do six mighty morphin power rangers the movie lightning collection figures.

Thinking about it, if they were to ever do a Tommy multi-pack, it'd probably be a Fighting Spirit 3-Pack with the DT version of MMPR Green, White, and Zeo Red.
Ninja Pink & Ninja White are now officially revealed; coming in April 2022.

Those headsculpts are, uh, difficult to look at

Now all that's left is Red and Yellow. Makes me wonder if they're gonna go all the way with MMPR Season 3 and give us the Alien Rangers soon.
I could potentially see them being an Amazon 5-pack like the Psychos; given they're in the same category of being a second team in the same season. Either way it'd definitely be cool to start seeing some actual ranger suits again...
Of course soon the ninja rangers will be complete.
Damn. Tommy is sold out.
The thing about the Psycho Rangers is they all share the same design. Even on the show there was literally no difference in bodies. Pink/Yellow were feminized beyond the voice.
The toys they did make a female psycho body but the heads were all the same. The only difference being the color of the paint apps and the accessories. Alien Rangers all require a distinct head sculpts. But the paint apps are the same for all the guys. |
Psychos also had unique weapons though, which the Kakurangers don't. It's all ultimately minor stuff anyhow
The Kakurangers do have unique weapons though.
My mistake; they did in Kakuranger, but in the US show they just used their uniform sword and gun
Weird. I thought I saw red or blue using their unique weapons once. *shrug* Oh well.
I'm going by the wiki admittedly; it could be wrong!
Ah. Only way to find answers is to find and watch MMAR. LOL!

Ha! Hasbro even removed MMPR 3.5 from Netflix. MMAR can only be found on the MMPR Complete 3 Seasons box set. And the only reason I know this is because I saw it at fyi. XD Or some pirate sites that have all of the PR series on it. >.>

All personal weapons were used as accessories for the OG Ninja Ranger figures from the old days. To compensate for Ninja Ranger Kimberly/Kat not having a corresponding Kaku, I think they crafted a wrist-mounted boomerang to compensate. Ninja Ranger Rocky even had the miniature Blazing Shogun Sword/Shogun Megazord Fire Saber which Sasuke used in one episode of Kaku! During the confrontation with Master Vile's Blue Globber, they kept the footage of Globber/Daradara summoning NinjaBlack's Bowgun. In the battle with Slotski/Kanedama, they kept the footage of Red punching him with the little fist gauntlet thing (sans personal weapon). In the battle with Witchblade/Amikiri, they kept the footage of Blue using the sidearm in its dagger mode alongside the primary katana. In the battle with Arachnofiend/Tsuchigumo, they kept the footage of Yellow using NinjaYellow's triangle-cut katana finisher. This was the only time a Kakuranger katana finisher was used in Alien Rangers! Check Walmart cause I keep seeing Mighty Morphin' Boxsets, which include the specials and the Alien Ranger Arc! http://www.morphinlegacy.com/legacy-...en/iii-arsenal |
