At this point I really just want Biogreeza and Destwilder to be released so we can have a full set of Ryuki stands.

Honestly, the only necessary Gaim release I see left is Overlord Baron. Every other major player is covered. Ichigo and Kiwi are likely, but weren't really used that much. At least Baron Mango acted as a sort of upgrade form akin to Jinba, and Pine was the first use of "arms change." Suika is necessary.... but I really feel like it's unlikely. Such a high price item for a show that didn't rate well and it wasn't exactly a major factor of the story at all. (despite appearing often) |

It will take years for Kiva to come out maybe 3 or 5 long time |

Figuarts are totally different though and don't seem to rely on how well the season itself did, just how well other Figuarts from the same line do and there's probably a reason most Gaim releases were exclusives before other seasons took priority completely. |

So I was wondering if I have the opportunity to Pre-Order only Dead Heat Mach or Chaser who should I Pre-Order?

Yeah I'd really have to say to go for the one that isn't just a mix of pre existing suits/figures. Chaser is more interesting.
Not that I dislike DH Mach, but if you already have Mach and Type Speed (or Type Dead Heat really) there's not that much interesting about it. |
Just got my payment request for Agito and Iron Man. :D
|
Does anyone have any side-by-side comparison pics of the old and new versions of Figuarts Agito? I've been looking online with no luck. Just curious to see the differences.
|
I think I saw a couple on 2chan, but the Agito thread there is gone now. I can't imagine you wont find what you're looking for by next week, but I'll post some comparisons when I get mine.
|
I know I've seen a good comparison in some photo review, but I don't remember which site it was. Of the two (besides here) that I use primarily, only found this one.

There's another one here. (from mfc)

I remember seeing the old Agito for the first time and being absolutely blown away by it. How times have changed :lol

Anyone know the correct kamji for Gaim's Arm Change series ?
Trying to find a lot on Yahoo Japan. |
There's no kanji, it's アームズチェンジシリーズ

Bravo is simultaneously not as spiky and even spikier than I expected him to be. Dunno how that works.
Fantastic figure though. Since my Gaim was largely a piece of crap he's really the first Gaim figure I can appreciate in full, and damn, there is a lot to appreciate. Fantastic detailing, fantastic colors and finish. Oren particularly has some fine ass accessories. The fact that I adore the design probably helps a lot too. Super satisfied with this guy. Definitely not helping my desire to get the rest of the Gaim figuarts, haha... |

I just opened Duke. He's pretty much awesome and mostly perfect in almost every area (though a lot of his joints feel either too loose or too tight). Great figure. Except. The paint apps and finish on his thigh armor is absolute garbage. Really disappointing too because that's one of the most striking areas of his suit's design. Really disappointing.
It's mainly the black parts that are messed up, so it's not exactly something I can't fix [very crappily] but still. Unhappy. First time I've really seen such crappy work on a figuarts--my Gaim was a lemon but the issues with him were different. This guy's legs were just a mess. Regardless, this is my first New Generation Rider, and the soda parts are just as awesome in person as I expected them to be. The sculpting and paint on the Genesis Driver and Sonic Arrow are impressive, and as I mentioned, the rest of the figure besides the thighs is great. The Gaim line continues to impress me. |

Pics?
As far as I recall, my Duke is fine, but I'm curious what exactly you're talking about, so I can double check mine. |

Duke isn't on my immediate list, but Baron is. I'd like to see pics of the issue, too, to see what went wrong.
|
I just checked mine. There's some light paint splatter and messy linework on the upper, inner thighs. I honestly hadn't noticed prior to just now, but I suspect this may be what he's talking about.
|
I've tried to fix as much as it as I can by painting over it, but from what remains I think this is the best shot I can get. The inner details are very roughly painted and a bunch of it is uneven or left silver, which makes the whole thing look really messy. You can't see it very well in this picture but the paint on the top of the thigh armor looks quite smudged. The same is true of the bottom of the armor, but I couldn't get any good (or even passable) pics of that. In general it has none of the crisp paint work I've seen in pretty much every other figuarts I've got and even Duke himself beyond this limited area.
The black designs on his left thigh were also all scratched up when I got it, but I filled those out as soon as I got him. On other news (and nitpicks) my Gaim Pine Arms' lockseed holder doesn't have the silver details painted on. So that's kinda bullcrap. I have great luck with these things. |
I'm way late here, but I haven't had much time to get online. I just wanted to say thanks for the Agito pics. Seeing them side by side lets me see the differences. The old one was certainly a svelte lad, wasn't he?
|
|
And I can't get it. Because I am broke as fuck. And even if I had the money I don't have an AmiAmi account. The salt? It is a retail release metal hero, meaning everybody will probably go after it and drive up the price on the aftermarket.
