Isn't toku defined by special effects made in Japan? And don't most of the Japanese shows outsource their special effects? So is nothing toku? Haha.

Hmmm. Looks nice, kind of an odd choice for color scheme though. The Marvel Now armor colors over the Mark 6? I'd have to see what it looked like in hand before I could bite.

And on the what's defined as toku subject, Iron Man and other western comic based super heroes of the like will stay in general discussion. Tokusatsu literally refers to the way special effects are handled classicly in Japanese media but more broadly it encompasses Super/Henshin Hero Live Action shows, no animation or anything like that. Basically if it was made somewhere in Asia using live action heroes or was adapted for broadcast from those regions to be shown elsewhere, or is an emulation of those programs (like Mystic Knights Knights, Tatooed Aliens) then it classifies as Tokusatsu.

That's what I'm thinking. There'll be plenty of time between it coming out as an event exclusive and then reappearing on the web shop, so I'll certainly be checking out reviews.

Since I'm going Figma for a standard Iron Man (for Avengers sakes), this definitely appeals to me more as a sample of the Figuart mould.

Better figure than I expected, definitely in for the others, I actually like their designs much more.

Mine arrived yesterday, and I can say that while I was definitely over the moon (ya I went there) before, when I got her in hand I was even more impressed. Bandai really out did themselves with Sailor Moon. She's undoubtedly one of their finest and most accurate representations of an anime character yet. The subtleties really make the figure stand out, like the pearlescent paint and the slight transparency on the end of her hair pieces. There are some really cool things going on, and your picture captures it all very nicely bluesparrow.

Lunatic for $20 before shipping... should I go for it? I don't even have Barnaby yet but Lunatic is definitely one I said I wanted.
