Its funny. I display my toy collection in Super Hero Time pairings. Kabuto with Boukenger. Decade with Shinkenger. OOO with Gokaiger. And Den-O with Gekiranger. Though I don't own much Gekiranger stuff at all :lol Like seriously one figure.

I agree, but the main reason is that I'm currently working on a Rider series of my own where Decade shows up halfway through and I need to get the character down so I can portray him properly and not like that terrible dub version... Now that Decade sucks.

Finished W and Fourze, tried Kabuto but I just can't dig the cinematography. I'm currently watching Den-O and OOO (as well as Wizard each week, of course). Den-O's a bit silly, but it's no worse than Fourze. At least the silly characters in this show are fictional creatures :lol. OOO is amazing. If the few episodes I've watched are any indication, I might like it more than Double. The soundtrack is already my favorite one of any Kamen Rider series.

I saw episode 10 and 11 of Wizard. It was a standard two parter for the series so far. I just didn't understand the cop guy who forced Wajima to make Hurricane Dragon's ring( I know it's not supposed to be that yet but the stone is green. What else would it be used for?)

He wanted the ring to be made so that the cops could fight the Phantoms, instead of just relying on the ring bearing wallpaper, I mean, wizard.

I've just started watching Den-O. It is way better than Wizard. The main character has a PERSONALITY!! Even though his voice annoys me.

And don't worry. Ryotaro's voice doesn't change one bit until episode 30 or so :p

Finished episode 29 and 30 of Kabuto last night. It was...different. It felt a lot like the middle episodes of Ryuki where the characters were acting out of character and the focus was on comedy. It wasn't as bad as the episodes in Ryuki were though. Hopefully that was just to break up the drama/darkness the show has had so far and not the way the rest of the series plays out. Also, what the heck was with the sudden jump in episode 28? For those of you who have seen Kabuto I'm talking about the sudden jump to Kabuto and Gattack fighting Kabuto Hyper form? No introduction, no lead up just BAM. I'm assuming it's a Worm due to the preview at the end of episode 30 but I wasn't prepared for that sudden jump! It was a bit jarring to be honest.

I actually find those 2 episodes to be some of the worst "comedic" fillers in any Kamen Rider series. They were absolutely awful.

However in regards to the spoilered question here's an answer As I recall he's the Kabuto from the future. He begins appearing very briefly in a few episodes, has that one fight with them, and saves Hiyori one time before never really showing up again. It's assumed that the Hyper Kabuto from the future could be the one from the God Speed Love film. Then Tendou gets his Hyper Zecter (with it's own time-travel shenanigans).

Ah gotcha. Oh boy...time travel. I hope they do it right...I love Den-O but the time travel aspect created some fairly big plot holes. Hopefully Kabuto won't (not holding my breath). Althought Den-O is still one of my favorite series regardless of the plot holes so maybe Kabuto will be alright.

I have to rewatch Kabuto, because I can't think of what you're talking about when it comes to comedic episodes (Though I generally tend to forget about them pretty much immediately after I finish watching them :lol)

It's the Iron Chef episodes (I had to check myself). Personally, I think there's worse in Kabuto, but that one is still up there as very bad.

PS Time travel and Kamen Rider should never mix.

I know she has problems. Being buried alive does that to a girl. But seriously... Hiyori. I keep hoping Tendou slaps her outright just to make the emo stop.

Yeah, Kabuto doesn't pull it off that well. But really, the whole plot for the series doesn't really hold together all that well and is full of holes all over the place. But that's what you get with Yonemura as your head writer - decent two-episode arcs but a really sloppy overarching story.

Those iron chef episodes were so damn godawful that it hurt. I thought I was watching a parody of Kabuto. Completely tonally different from the rest of the series. And like Switchblade said that series has more plot holes than swiss cheese. When you get to the end you're going to have just as many questions as you do answers. Kabuto handled time-travel, just not very well.

I'd watch a Kamen Rider Iron Chef. Sounds like it'd be badass.

That's dissapointing. I've noticed a trend with Hesei era series lately:They don't end all that well. I liked the ending to W, OOO and Fourze but Kuuga, Ryuki and Den-O left me going "what just happened?". Sounds like Kabuto is going to fall in that latter catergory as well. *Sigh* Oh well. I still like the show and I still love all the shows in that latter category so who cares, eh? :D

Started watching Blade on Thursday December 6th, 2012 (keep this date in mind)
I am on episode 46 as of this writing and i was wrong about this series. The characters are cool and the story is good with an overarching story arc with chalice.

One problem with the show though. At first each of the riders (save for chalice who was a really cool character) act like a bunch of emo people. Yes, i do understand that their base was destroyed but still.....

Also tachibana's story arc in the early episodes was well written........ ESPECIALLY the final battle with isaka

Just finished watching W. Great show. It's my first experience with Kamen Rider, and it started because I was wondering who Kamen Rider Skull was because the SIC toy looks so cool.

How does W compare to other Kamen Rider shows? Not sure if I want to start down the slippery slope of bugmen though :)

You started with a pretty good series. If you like W , then try OOO. They have about the same tone and a team up movie. If you like serious, go for early 2000's riders. If you like it lighthearted , try Den-O or Fourze

Den-O, I just finished the episode where Kintaros gets introduced, which means my favorite Den-O form is next!

Yeah, the wolf Imagin, and Zeronos showed up! And he's a jerk, but I like how Deneb is the most polite guy ever. :lol

I saw episode 10-16 of OOO. And my god, the episode 15 and 16 two parter is badass. All of the Greeed show up to steal the 5K cell medal load with Ankh, Eiji, Gotou and Hina all stuck in one big cluster fight. A lot of the Core medals are lost and Kazari betrays the other Greeed. A giant Mezool monster formed from when Gamel and Mezool met with a clusterf**k of Core Medals overloading them. Gattakiriba cloning and doing an epic rider kick. Not to mention the badass debut of Birth. Gattakiriba, Latoratah and Sagozo combos equally shine here. Granted, the yummy fight at the end of episode 15 with Latoratah and the Toride Vendor in its cheetah form felt kinda forced in as a minor win for OOO in this defeat for the good guys.

It also showed how the President of the Kougami Foundation and Dr Maki's relationship was really screwed up because of their opposing opinions on what to do about the Greeed. Maki wants the world to end by the Greeed while the President wants it to be reborn in desire a different way. The whole foundation itself is screwed up, they supply equipment to a guy who wants to stop these rampaging Greeeds from potentially killing people while the foundation will let these monsters still go around and observe like they can't do anything.

This has to be my favorite two parter in the 4 riders series I have watched in depth without completing( Kuuga, Double, Wizard and OOO). Its epic, twists the plot around so it progresses backwards and forwards, characters develop more, the steaks are raised higher and creates new ways the show can go thanks to the introduction of Kamen Rider Birth.

Zeronos is dickish at first but he grows on ya. And Deneb is the most awesome Imagin of all so you got love that guy.

If I recall it was an exclusive. It may have been mass release though. Either way it sells easily in the $50-100 range. Especially after Zeronos came out a few months ago.

Pretty much. You'll see sites like Mandarake regularly list Deneb for about 4000-5000 yen. Ryu & Kin will easily run you about 6000. Momo and Ura though are only about 2000-3000.
