Went back to breeding in Y since I got bored of losing at the Battle Tree.

Finally got that shiny Mareep I've been aiming at since August or so. Yay. First shiny since around October actually...woo.

That's okay. I started the Sun and Moon games a day or so after Christmas myself. I seriously love my Rowlett and Litten. :D Did manage to get Muchlax via Mystery Gift as well as transferring Greninja from the demo on both of them shortly afterwards though. I even have Greninja as part of my Sun team and Muchlax, who is now a Snorlax, as part of my Moon team. For Sun, I'm already up to readying myself in facing off against the Elite Four. As for Moon, I'm up to third confrontation against Guzma along with my first confrontation against Lusamine.

I'm starting to regret buying Sun. The main game was fun and all, but short, and the postgame is just not very good. I swear, this happens every generation...

It's to make you buy the 3rd game after all.

The post game for this series this decade has pretty much only been built on the idea that you'll want to battle online with your team.

I think you mean in general. 'But revisiting Kanto!' That was A: an afterthought only possible because of Satoru Iwata, and B: a good compensation for Johto being pretty short

Is it so wrong to want something more? At least make the main game more substantial if you aren't going to have a big postgame. I really need to just stick to the Mystery Dungeon games, I like those a lot more.

It's not wrong. The only reason they don't do something like the Battle frontier again is that they fear kids won't have the attention span to finish something that difficult, which isn't entirely a wrong assumption as that's exactly what happened to me when I first played Emerald.

There's really nothing we can do about that.

To be fair Mystery Dungeon hardly ever had a good post game either. Just a better main game.

Personally I want to see a post game like Diamond and Pearls again, a mini region off to the corner of the map, I thought that was neat.

It seems as though the games are geared toward their target audience (Children) and also geared to help the competitive players so an immersive story isn't a big priority

I really need to stop letting people, and myself, tempt me into getting them. The games just aren't for me.

I liked Sun. The main game was fun and didn't make me want to slam my head through a wall due to sheer stupidity.

Meanwhile I still don't have my copy yet. I'm still stuck on Gen VI plus I need to reactivate my Bank account.

So would people like some Gibles or Beldums? got like 4 boxes of those in Sun and I wanna get rid of them lol :D

Was hoping it'd be more substantial, and that it'd stop offering fucking Poke Miles, but, woo hoo, I guess.

My favorite part is it keeps track of not only the National Dex but also your adventure data for each game, so I can finally see how many eggs I've hatched in Y without fighting dudes. The number is apparently 10365.

Speaking of the NAtional Dex, though. It's alright. Has some neat features like letting you see all of a mon's dex entries for a Gen even if you don't have all the games, and letting you see which games it can be found in. But the lack of animations is seriously disappointing. Oh wells.

Right, so...Can I at some point request help from people on here for a trade-and-back for a scizor? since Battle tree is kicking my arse cus I have a Mega Metagross and Alolan Muk who are both weak to ground

I have a better idea, don't use Scizor alongside those two. Otherwise fire types keep adding up to your weaknesses

I can't find the SD card where my Pokémon Yellow save game was so I can't transfer my team! FUUUUUUUU

So Game Freak screwed up. Many Pokemon transferred from RGBY or 6th Gen aren't allowed to be used online whether they're legit or not.

For example, I tried to use my Shiny Xerneas from last year's event online and it told me I couldn't even though box legends are allowed right now.

Wait until all these legality checkers are fixed before using anything you transferred online.

I finally found my SD card with Pokémon Yellow on it so I transferred my mons up.

Got myself an Alolan Raichu that originated in Kanto, nice.

Mega Bloks got the Pokemon license...
